Fresh approach to fashion. Nice work. Hur body curves with the tracks and the depth of field is perfectly chosen. In fact this is like a melancholy suicide contemplation feeling rather than fashion.

this is a very strong pic. i immediatly think about fulnarability of female body (or human in general), weakness,and then on the other side it?s so strong in the sureness to face death or in the total 100% trust in life. it can be even picture a kind of modern sacrifice ritual. however, thanks for the meditative moment with you pic.

It bugs me a little that her shoudlers are lost in the shadows, but everything else (mood, lens, light on tracks, composition) is brilliant!

this could be simply my monitor settings as it has not been calibrated in a long time, but on first viewing this image it appeared to me that the models head was seperate from her body, because the black neck of her top blends in with the railway track shadow and her neck begins exactly at the the highlight on the track. I find it very distracting

As Zoe describes it above, the lines are very creatively arranged to cause a very strong impact and convey the sense of vulnerability -as also analysed above by Nina. (Whether been disturbing or not -as aforementioned- is rather a personal thing, but certainly even if someone finds it so this is not a weakness; the work is very good and alas if we were trying just to please our immediate senses...)
I'd also stay in the horizontal, long and curvy bodily line coexisting in a cross with the vertical ambiguous perspective, which helps i think to enhance the bizzare and full of tension feeling. The face expression and upward way of looking rather helps, although for me, there is something a bit plastic about it.. (i'm not so sure yet why, probably because of the very good looks and neat appearance ... For example, a widow contemplating suicide after having taken care of herself so well?.. hmm.. something doesnt fit so well, in my opinion... although 'vanity' might be the hidden clue and ace-card in the sleeve here...)

One commentator said that the effect of the rail and neck tones being so similar that the head seemed disconnected was distracting. I think it contributes to the photo. The extremely shallow depth of field and the illusion of curvature created by track-bed and perspective give the illusion of distortion that abstract painters might easily achieve. this is great.

This is one of the most compelling photos I have seen in a long time. There are many beauties on this site, of course, but seldom does one come across a photo like this one! The contrast is perfect. DOF: perfect. Composition: Beautiful. You have made a very powerful photo and at the same time there is a bit of comfort in the model's gaze. Bravo!

I like the way the neck blends with the rail. It certainly gets one's attention. Of the rail series, this, IMHO, is the best.

Once in a while I come back here and stare for a while at your picture.
This is one of the most striking pictures I've ever seen in my life (I'm almost 40, so it's a long time ...).

she looks like shes thinking about something, possibly leaving?
her leg is poised to where shes comforable like she can wait as long as it takes for the train.
