This is as "mellow yellow" as can be...it is so warm and delicate. The pose is pensive and the lighting sublime...a most enjoyable photo. Well done, Michael.

Got to love the mood in this. It's a little dark at left which is good and works to advantage

Wow, looks like an old Victorian postcard. Lovely composition. Man, its cold and snowing around here now in MN, which makes this scene all the more fantasy like for me.

love the idea but the subject is so much darker than the background that my eye is drawn away from her

I love the composition. It`s a very well framed photo. Also I love the equilibrium between shaddows and lights. Instead I don`t understand why (only) the upper right corner is blurred.

Mike, I love your soft, nostalgic, just plain beautiful style. Although I very rarely use this style, I am very partial to it......Jim

Idea is great, but you still must work on the technical side. Try shooting it again with a more open diaphragm. I would've darkened the part behind the model, and perhaps i would've tried to have a more interesting light on the model. Seems too much like a "lucky shot" if you know what I'm saying. Regards

Very Pictorialist--somewhere between Larry and Max. (Lawrence Alma-Tadema and Maxfield Parrish) A touch more emphasis on the model would help. Great hat! Like the bare feet--adds a modern touch.
