This photo is stunning. Juxtaposition of the two models is perfect in every way, light/dark, child/woman, and white/black garb. The expressions are more similar (the lady looks almost sinister), while the child looks wise for her young age. Black and white values are perfect here, simply beautiful, as is the overall imagery. Love it. Don't laugh, but this photo made me think of one of the Anne Rice vampire books...and I like that it made me pull something out of myself in interpreting the feeling of the shot.

Original. Good composition. There is way of discovering the world in the child's look. Mother just seems tired. They are in great contrast.
