I like the dialogue sequence this shot manages to create.

About Men And Fishes
This is a beautiful image I would not change a thing! The silhouette of the Man against the aqua of the water...the whale looks so curious!
Nice capture!

Francisca, Beautiful image. You captured the moment perfectly! I'm curious what lens you used and if you used a tripod. Thanks, John

Hello, John
I used my Canon 28-75 (not very good, I know). Exiff are: 1/15 sec, f 5.6, focal 25mm, ISO 800, without tripod or flash.
Thanks, everybody for comments and rates.
John Jerney , June 22, 2006; 04:00 P.M.
Francisca, Thanks for the info. I'm even more impressed knowing you shot this without a tripod. You have a steady hand. Cheers! John

Very good capture, but a white whale is not a fish...

I really like the illuminated turquoise light and the floor sheen silhouetting the figure. A fine composition and timing arrangement of whale to man.

To Peter Hägglöf
Yes, Peter, you're right. This is a beluga whale and it's not a fish.
But it makes a good title, don't you think? :)

Well, I'm sure you've had your fair share of congratulations on this image but it is well earned none-the-less.
regards

Laure Montandon , September 24, 2008; 05:19 P.M.
Well done
I have a similar shot in my portfolio, but I think your rendering of it is more effective. I like the face-a-face of these two. And how crisp your image is.
