Fantastic composition, Maxime. I get a real feeling of solitude. Well done.

Maxime,
First of all, the light is brilliant here. I also like the emptyness of the place. Only te woman and her cup of coffee. Good work!

I'll teach you color if you teach me lighting. This is beautiful max. Your game has never been sharper.

Creating space
The empty chairs, crowding away from the lone customer as if to give room to dream; the light, morning or evening, works equally well and in so many ways. The angle of the shot could not seemingly be more perfect, the implied line between the head and the coffee cup, illuminated in broadside by the light, angled just-so. It speaks in an instant, tangible. Beautifully done, thanks for sharing.

Beautiful light , beautiful moment !!!

Well done, good light and composition. I think I'd prefer moving a bit to the right, so that the woman is slightly closer to the center of the image. But your approach is also good.

Une image pleine de sens, Maxime. La lumiere, le contraste, la composition: tout est parfaitement orchestre pour une oeuvre qui laissera sa marque au fil des annees. Merci de partager cette photo vraiment remarquable. La scene est touchante. 7/7

The Sun,only illuminate the strong feeling of lonliness, enhanced by the crowded environement, and the diagonal light line. Well observed image.

Thanks everybody for such encouraging comments. I'm glad I've stopped to get my camera in my back pack and waited for her to get in that position. Best wishes to you all. Max

Not all moments are equal. Most are forgettable and indeed we do. Some are memorable, some are unforgettable and some, well, some are transcendent.
