Photographer's Request for Critique

Grafton Bridge

This was shot on my way from work.Auckland was obliterated by fog and the old style lamps gave that "Jack the Ripper" feel to the whole scene.Untold passersby told me " You can't take photos in fog, mate".Were they right?

Your passers were "dead" wrong. Sorry, couldn't resist.

I like it, I think it might have looked really fantastic in B&W.

8/8

The mopes on the street got it wrong, you got it right. Very nice shot, very moody. I disagree with the above comment; although I think the shot would also have been effective in gainy black and white, I think the slight hint of color gives it an extra edge.

The pros all use filters and different means to provide a different effect. The fog, used as you did, appears to be a great tool. Excellent, please post more stuff.

This photo screams "atmosphere". The fact that it is in colour adds to that, IMHO. Well done.

Moody, dramatic looking, good composition.
