Photographer's Request for Critique
--Ian Bramham
What do you think?
This is the historic Pier in Southport, England. It was built in 1860
and is one of the first to be bult from Iron.
In 1990 the local Council wanted to have it demolished as it was in
such poor condition, but the proposals were defeated by a single
vote. As a result a group was set up to fund repairs and the pier has
now been fully restored.

Ian,
a marvelous shot of a wonderful old pier. I'm sure you could make many great photos there. Obviously you had the vision to see it - congrats.

Attractive sky and good line. Really needs a little detail in the shadows as parts of the beach and pier have no story to tell. Really well chosen time.

Thanks Peter and Glen for taking the time to critique the photo - this system is a great way to try and improve but it relies on people like you making the effort to help others.
