Melinda Marx
I took this while we were practicing for a musical put on by Gloriana
Opera Company. Melinda played mandolin. This image was scanned from an
old negative with Microtech i800. Taken on Pentax, available light ASA
1600 pushed in darkroom. This is one of a few rare photos of Melinda.
Melinda Marie Marx (b. August 14, 1946) is an actress with a brief
movie career, and the daughter of Groucho Marx and his second wife,
Kay Marvis Gorcey.
Melinda Marx appeared as a contestant on her father's quiz show
You Bet Your Life with Candice Bergen. She also acted alongside her
father in a television production of The Mikado (1960) and the film
The Story of Mankind (1957). After a few more roles in films,
including an uncredited appearance in the movie Bye, Bye Birdie
(1963), Melinda retired from acting in 1972.
