I spent a lot of time in Nigeria and Angola, about 5 years all together. In 2002 I went through an incredibly large refugee camp outside of Luanda with a camera. I couldn't take a single photo, these things are hard to see and and photos can be hard to take. I don't know the conditions that you took the photo under, but maybe I can imagine what you thought when you saw her.
the conditions here were very friendly.. and I got a chance to try to capture the beauty of the himba's. I know what you mean though as I was recently in Madagascar and wish I could have taken some pictures of people there where it was just not possible to safely do so....
