Photographer Biography
Soy de Murcia (España) aunque nací por accidente en Madrid, soy fotógrafo profesional desde finales de los años 60, en la fotografía profesional sólo hago fotocopias de la realidad que veo sin alterarla, y para mi esa aburrida fotografía no merece la pena enseñarla.
Aquí sólo se muestra la fotografía personal de los años 1969 a 1985 y posteriores al 2004 y muy pocas de los años 1985 a 2003 en la que no hice apenas fotografía de interés.
Volví a hacer esa fotografía personal en 2004 debido a la publicación de un libro sobre mi obra fotográfica por parte de CEHIFORM (Centro Histórico Fotográfico de la Región de Murcia, colección fotógrafos región de Murcia) que me obligó a volver a trabajar sobre mis antiguas fotografías y sirvió de estímulo para continuar después de 19 años de letargo fotográfico.
Siempre me ha gustado la fotografía que no sea una mera réplica de la realidad y en la que el fotógrafo participe activamente en su creación y resultado final, parto casi siempre de imágenes reales para crear o inventar situciones irreales, pienso que lo importante es el resultado final de la fotografía y poco los medios técnicos que se hayan usado para conseguirla, ni las cámaras, ni los laboratorios, ni los programas de edición fotográfica hacen fotografías, los fotógrafos si.

I'm from Murcia (Spain) although i was born by chance in Madrid. I have been a professional photographer since the late 1960s. In profesional photography i only make photocopies of reality which i see without distorting it, and as for as i'm concerned it's not worth showing boring photography.
Here you only can see personal photography from 1969 to 1985 and the photos taken after 2004 and just a few from 1985 to 2003, when i took only a few interesting photographs.
I took this personal photography again in 2004 because of the publication of a book about my photographic work by CEHIFORM (Historical Photographic Centre of the Region of Murcia) which made me work again with original photographs and motivated me to continue alter of 19 years of photographic lethargy.
I almost always start from real pictures to create or invent unreal situations. I think that the main thing is the final result of the photograph and no so much the technical resources which have been used to achieve it, neither cameras, nor darks rooms nor programmes of photographic edition make photographs, photographers do.
