Photographer Biography
I was born in Plymouth UK in 1984 and spent the first 7 years of my life there until 1991 when I moved to a little village called Mary Tavy on Dartmoor (Just 5 minutes drive away from David Bailey's house).
After leaving school in 2000 I joined Plymouth College of Art and Design where I studied 3D Design for 2 years. Whilst studying in Plymouth, I was also concentrating on my other interests, which included painting, graphic design and photography. I gained a few notable commissions at this time, including one from the psychic spoon bender, Uri Geller, which was a 2m X 3m oil on canvas painting of his old friend Michael Jackson standing on a plinth in a surreal landscape.
I have won grand prize in photographic competitions such as the Panasonic's photographer of the year 06 and the PIEA PMA Grand First prize for the Colleges and Universities category 07 where I was the only European winner out of 6000 entries.
My work has been published on greetings cards in the USA and in many different publications both nationally and internationally including: Practical Photography, Photography Monthly, What Digital Camera, Digital SLR Photography, Digital Photographer, PMA Magazine, Art of England, Blueprint, Popular Photography, Shutterbug, Performance French Cars magazine and The Times Educational Supplement, etc. One of my most recent pieces is a 3 page feature for Popular Photography magazine in the US entitiled "You can do it"
