Photographer Biography
Hi, I finally decided to start out doing some photography about 5 years ago. Took me a while to dare take a camera into my hands and realize I was not going to break it... So, after quite some insistance on behalf of a dear friend, I joind a photography group in taking some lessons.
This didn't last very long, since I couldn't wait to get "out there" and was only able to stick to the lessons for a while. The group is still together after 5 years. We try to travel around focusing on Photography (nice excuse, huh?) And get together as often as we can to do some local photography or at least get together on the social side :)
I started out with my Dads reeeeeeealy old Maxum Minolta and have been moving on to digital little by little. If you get to look around my gallery, youﾴ'll notice I really like floral and macro photography.
Personally, I am not very fond of photo editing (PS or other) or studio photo, although I do carry out adjustments in either cropping, contrast, tones, etc. or, all of the above. The other side of photography I have really enjoyed is creating abstract images, playing with light, colors and camera movement.
Currently I have been working in a series of photos I consider more as "Abstracts" or art, rather than photography... perhaps as a reaction to my initial focus on detail and precision? and find myself learning quite a bit about handeling light and "drawing" with light.
Looking at other people's work has been a great source of inspiration and encourages me to keep learning, experimenting and viewing life from different poins of view.
