Photographer Biography
I have been an entomologist for over 25 years, and have been employed as the Collections Coordinator of the Insect Division at The University of Michigan's Museum of Zoology since 1981.
I have been interested in photography since high school, and it was only since the summer of 2000 that I realized that I wanted to learn more and do more with photography.
I really like B&W, and of course color for nature photography. One of my aims is to produce color photos of insects (especially dragonflies) that I can use in my entomological writing, but also to show others what amazing creatures are all around us.
As far as B&W photos go, I enjoy architecture, scenic topics and informal portraits.
I have also been teaching adult education classes in macrophotography.
My other photographic interest is old cameras, especially Argus cameras, since they used to be made right here in Ann Arbor, MI.
