Photographer Biography

--- Biography ----------------------------------------------------------------

I was born some 44 years ago in Tuscany, Italy.

Today I live and work in Rome.

I shot my first pictures at six or seven.
Since then I have tried and tried to find myself inside those four lines that magically circumscribe a portion of frozen time and space.

Here I thank those who will share their thoughts with this poor camera-wanderer.

Here I'd like to thank my friends for their friendship.

And finally I steal T. S. Eliot words for she who owns the key of my heart:

"No peevish winter wind shall chill
No sullen tropic sun shall wither
The roses in the rose-garden which is ours and ours only

But this dedication is for others to read:
These are private words addressed to you in public."

"Reality offers us such wealth that we must cut some of it out on the spot, simplify. The question is, do we always cut out what we should? While we're working, we must be conscious of what we're doing. Sometimes we have the feeling that we've taken a great photo, and yet we continue to unfold. We must avoid however, snapping away, shooting quickly and without thought, overloading ourselves with unnecessary images that clutter our memory and diminish the clarity of the whole.
