Horrifying. But it shows what war is like.

Unfortunately I know what war is like, but there are many aspects of this conflict that tick me off. It's hard to watch a relatively modern country, like Georgia, having this done to him by an incredibly evil Putin. Forget his puppet "president", it's all about Putin. And the tough part has been to watch our American President "buddy up" to Putin when it seemed so clear (to me at least) that he couldn't be trusted. Ronald Reagan must be rolling in his grave.

war is an intensely barbaric form of human expression. thank you for the pictures. they are most interesting. i am afraid the western media is a little better at showing both sides of a conflict, including when they happen to disagree with the other side than russian media. any attempt to do otherwise in russia gets you locked up. in jail there are no pictures to be taken.

"please, no politics..."
In a thread about war photography?

OK, a little politics closer to home. Ironic that Russia gives photographers more freedom than we do. Every US photographer who's photographed battle casualties has been evicted from Iraq.

"In a thread about war photography?" I guess it's to be expected. It's certainly hard to resist when seeing such moving images, isn't it?

Devastating situation, but the photography is excellent. It really tells a story.
