A passage to love

I shall die in a rainy day,

in the arms of a loved one

and the last words I shall hear

Would be "forever, I shall love thee"

and the last drop of water I shall drink

should be a tear of sadness, from an eye looking down to me

And the last hope I should think of

should be a forgiveness from the lord of amour

and the cause of my death should be

an explosion of love at the bottom of my soul

And I shall smile to angel of death, because

the fear of him, had been died at my heart a century before I was born

and I shall be strong as a god

because, all that would be waiting for me, at the end of night

should be a passage...to love.

Mathew Baker , December 28, 2004; 04:46 A.M.

You know... I through the word "amazing" around alot here on PN. But these photos are truelly amazing. Really, no other portfolios are this good. When I first took a look at these shots my tought were. "This stuff is the shite" and I'm not big on swearing. It just blew me away. This is exactly the style I'd like to be shooting. I cant express how insparational these images are. This is how I want to shoot when I'm older and have gone pro. Thank you for sharing these pictures with me.

David Richman , January 08, 2005; 09:44 A.M.

Overall...

I go to photo.net to find new ideas for my portrait sessions. It's not often that I find inspiration-Misha, you have inspired me. I love your use of dramatic angles when shooting your models.

Nicholas Bryant , January 18, 2005; 05:06 P.M.

What to say what to add... You have many many advantages or superiorities upon us ;) you don't care about rules of cropping and thirds and whathever, you have an eye that isn't real! and you have I don't know what that makes women feel confortable in any situation with you. (maybe you can get invisible!! I just thought of that :) So thank you for sharing! very much! And I'll keep up checking you work with great great interest and passion, trying to do the best myself in my own style and maybe threw my dreams in yours. Bravo again for all your pictures, I won't rate them all because my "favorite" folder would become immediatly a "Misha" folder, and thanks again!

O. I. , January 22, 2005; 06:37 A.M.

Beautiful portfolio. Kudos.

Alex Shishin , January 23, 2005; 06:16 P.M.

Superb portfolio, Misha! Nice to run into a photographer who is also a writer. (I'm an essayist and short story writer.) Lewis Carol, Zola, Eudora Welty, Wright Morris, among other writers, were also photographers. Welty based much of her fiction on photos she took. Walker Evans, on the other hand, was a failed writer who turned to photography.

You really have a way of working with women. There is an energy in your fashion shots and nude studies that is rare.

Thank you for your input on my work. I am honored

Jody Frost , January 24, 2005; 11:26 A.M.

Just looked at your latest, read your bio... Wow! Your photos continue to delight and surprise me! You have a talent and passion that jumps out of the pictures! Positively electric! And your poems really capture me too (and i'm not a big lover of the art form!) Bravo Misha!

Maris Ojasuu , January 25, 2005; 06:27 A.M.

I treasure them dearly.

"It's..."

It's tasteful...

Like sharing a cherry in spring rain with the lips of your lover

On door steps of a strange house

In a strange neighborhood

It's sad...

Like washing the cold hand of your grandfather with tears, Only 12 years old, alone in a cold house,

Just a minute after his death, on cloudy afternoon of fall

It's hot...

Like moving lava, freed after a million years of trying

Running down the hill towards the ocean, passing the ocean

To make a new land, a new home

It's beautiful...

Like finding a view to a landscape by accident because you have lost your way

A scenery of green field in mist

Full of pink flamingos right by the greatest lake of the world

It's amazing...

Like the first simultaneous orgasms of two passionate teenagers

Making love in a basement of an old house

While the sun is creating a moving collage of shadows on the walls

It's cold...

Like the morning following a night full of nightmares,

Waking up to a field of dead soldiers, covered with blood

Finding out that the truth was harsher than a bad dream

It's Romantic...

Like the first time you climbed the Eiffel tower

With a beautiful French girl; a stranger;

Who was exchanging kisses with you, before even you were back on the ground

It's holy...

Like the first time you tried to talk to god And you actually thought

That you could change the world with your wishes, with your prayers

It's angry...

Like losing your love to a sudden death And trying so hard

To find reasons for not joining her, right then, through a short cut

It's exciting...

Like the feeling of rushed decisions, Attacking your mind,

While you are facing your first gun point robbery

It's adventurous...

Like the first bite of a camel meat kebob

At the border of Oman and Saudi Arabia

Listening to a symphony of desert storm

And it's full of hopes...

Hope to fall in love, to be in love again one day

To bring a smile to somebody's lips everyday

And trying to add a small piece of happiness to this world

Before your time's up, before the cycle is done

Because it's your life...

Because it's my life...

Great Misha

I can feel something special looking your portfolios. There are movement, creative ideas, interesting angles, nice medium tones in B&W job and I like the special eye, your eye when you looks each element, girl, people or form that we can see. Just a suggest, I feel some sadnees in general, perharps something is not complete about your Job, I don`t know exactly what can be but I feel it. I mean, all your photos have a perefect light and form, each one give me a message but I feel some sadnees arround the light and shadows. Sorry for my point of view is just that Claroscuros touch me very hard.

Giuseppe Miriello , March 26, 2005; 08:45 P.M.

Misha, i wandered through your portfolio, and it took me a good time just to preview the thumbs... I really loved many of your images, expecially a couple you probably did for vogue (looking at the approach). I cannot tell that i loved more or less a specific area of your work, becouse it is massive and of high quality, and very varied. Instead, to comment what you are presenting here i will leave you a small passage from a book i loved (and that i am trying to translate into images - hoping to be able).... it is an imaginary conversation between kublai kan and marco polo:

"Marco Polo describes a bridge stone by stone. Which is the stone that keep the bridge from falling ask Kublai Kan? The bridge is not kept from this or that stone, but rather by the arc they make. Kublai Kan wonder about this a little, then asks: - why did you tell me about the stones! It is the arc that matters to me! And Marco Polor replies: Without stones there is no arc."

the same way there is no possibility to me to define your work image per image, it is the whole (composed by all its parts) that defines itself. Congrats. and hoping to see more. Regards. G.

Stunning

Juha Kivekas , July 03, 2005; 04:37 A.M.

You are obviously a very matured photog. It's written all over. Very strong, ambience-full shots, strong contrasts in tones, colors and contents. Quite obviously there is influence from Helmut N. A bit surreal style well within good taste. The idividual portfolios are so (too) big that it takes (too much) time to load them.

Michael Murphy , July 05, 2005; 09:47 P.M.

Style

I love your style. You work really well with women. I am just graduated from photography school. I was wondering what you shoot with, camera, film, or settings if digital. I love the "sepia tone" and the grainy feel. It looks really good. Brings a lot to the images I think. alex@aikphotography.com thanks

Reading the comments on your portfolio I feel I little bit frustrated because it seems that all the best words are already used! So, what should I say? Your photos are truly amazing! You have a strong inclination to experimentation which is what creativity means, IMO. Keep up the good work and let us enjoy it! Best, Jack

Martin Karlsson , December 15, 2005; 04:19 A.M.

some out of the ordinary

M.H, I've now browsed through your photos, and I must say that they are really something. I think it's how you get the models to relax and follow your instructions, as well as that you know how to deal with the natural light, and on top of that, we have the backgrounds, locations..makes a perfect blend.

If I ever feel I need some inspiration, I know where to look!

Thanks

Jay Davis , December 16, 2005; 10:00 A.M.

Wow

I have seen a LOT of photographer's work in my time, but nothing even compares to the work you have in this portfolio. I am simply blown away by your work, it is so incredible.

If you don't mind me asking one question in order to learn something from you, I would like to ask how do you get the indoor shots so well lit? I don't see any lighting kits or flash units used or am I wrong?

Just truly an incredible work of art. I would love to watch you work someday. Best of luck to you!

Jay

Namaste

Misha, I can see and feel God in your work, it's always so easy to pick up when someone allows the Intelligence to flow through them. Anyway, your portfolio is so inspiring and touches the viewer so intensly, that I think you also believe that "feeling" is what authentic life is about.

Oh, and your poems - awesome. All manifestation was seeded from thought. So keep on thinking, it makes the world a place of "feeling"

Namaste...

J C , January 21, 2006; 03:56 P.M.

Such a powerful, edgy, diverse and creative portfolio you have!!

Roman ''Terrise" Golubenko , January 23, 2006; 11:30 P.M.

Really artistic and professional portfolio...

Kelvin Bernard , January 24, 2006; 11:17 P.M.

Honesty In Art...

M.H. it is not secret that I love your work. You have such a wide range of expression: from the seemingly harsh and stark to the subtle and sublime. Yet all your works bear your mark - a sort of realism/honesty. Your style is easily recognised yet not easily copied - a great accomplishment. My sincerest congratulations to you. Regards, Kelvin.

Walter Hinterberger , January 28, 2006; 05:49 P.M.

When I saw you added me to your 'interesting persons' list, I was flattered. As I scrolled down your portfolio , I became intrigued. What could we possibly have in common , other than a camera ? As I scrolled further I found ( facetously ) a railway (road) track. AHA ! There are one or two of those in my folders ! But all kidding aside , having gone through your wideranging collection and realizing what a consumate professional you are , I thank you for the attention and hope to learn ...Best wishes !

Dana Ward

Hello M.H, My name is Dana Ward. I am a painter here in CA and I was wondering, seeing as your photographs are bloody fantastic, if you were interested in the possibility of some of your work being used as painting inspiration, and or possibly, and this was my first idea, that I could paint in a sort of photorealistic/stylized fashion---Renderings from your work; the idea being that a wonderful photo is seen even more wonderfully by the human eye, therefore, to paint a true, or near true representation of what I see in your work might bring an interesting moment of thought upon observation.

What do you think?

Dana Ward

Email me at twelveoclockmending@yahoo.com if you would.

Sam Scheffer , February 16, 2006; 03:58 P.M.

Beautiful Work, but...

Your work is unprecedented. Absolutely stunning. But way too many for one page to load. I have a high speed wireless connection and it took several trys to finally get the entire page to load. I would recommend splitting them up into different categories with no more than afew hundred at a time. Jusy my opinion though.

Cyrille Coussat , February 17, 2006; 05:24 P.M.

Excellent !

What a great portofolio ! Compliment and thanks for sharing.

John Seward , February 21, 2006; 08:21 A.M.

M.H.

I like your sense of composition. It took a while to get thru them all, but I'm glad I waited. Too many fine shots to settle on one or two. Excellent portfolio. John

Elena Webb , March 02, 2006; 03:20 A.M.

Follow-through

I'm glad I took the time to come look at your gallery. Cheers for the tasteful lesbian erotica! When I am less sleepy I am going to have to come back to focus more on the individual images ... so much to see! Stunning collection!

Marjan Krebelj , March 06, 2006; 06:42 A.M.

Good but...

I think you have an excellent portfolio, but in my opinion it is simply too large. It is difficult to find a way trough so many potos and find the ones you really like the most. Many good stuff remains unseen under these circumstances. Congrats anyway!

Jason Dunsmore , March 08, 2006; 02:51 A.M.

Wow, great portfolio. I have much to learn from your work.

Raymond Elstad , March 17, 2006; 10:59 P.M.

I've enjoyed viewing your body of work for some time. Evocative, provocative, just plain beautiful, thanks for the inspiration. Cheers, Raymond

Koos van der Merwe , March 21, 2006; 04:32 P.M.

I like the new stuff

The new addition (The show) is awesome - very colorful and lots of atmosphere! Keep on going!

Chris Hughes , March 27, 2006; 03:45 A.M.

I'm sure I'm about to say a lot of stuff you've heard before but I think it's productive to articulate these thoughts none the less so here goes.

I'm absolutely stunned by your portfolio. You're doing amazing work. Looking at the many hundreds of portfolios that focus on model photography here at Photo.net (and elsewhere) one sees so many lifeless and unoriginal shots that the mind reels. Model photography is a well worn genre that's incredibly difficult to invest with life and personality. Unfortunately, many photographers seem to think that an exotic or exotically dressed and posed subject makes for a good image but that's a superficial approach that seldom yields good results.

Your work on the other hand is saturated with your personality. The images transcend the subject and move into a highly personal area that's endlessly satisfying to look at. I can see your hand behind every one of these images. You seem to have a firm grasp on the indefinable quality that rises rote pictures to the level of pure artistry. The use of colors, textures, lighting and pose are spot on in the vast majority of images in your portfolio.

Okay, stop blushing now.

Thierry Burlot , April 06, 2006; 02:48 P.M.

Oh my god !

Too much photos on your impressive portfolio IMO. It is impossible for me to look at all of them. If you pay your models then you must be very rich or ruined :) or maybe you get paid for the shots ? You really have some strong portraits and the models are all wonderful. A bit more selection of this Titanic portfolio would emphasise your work. Thanks for sharing. Best regards, Thierry.

John Peri , April 08, 2006; 07:14 A.M.

I do not agree with our friend Thierry. We all like different images, and an author cannot always direct his work to any common denominator so, inevitably, we must each chose to open what we like. In the case of M.H., the more he posts, personally the happier I am. I find his images filled with inspiration and charm and I scrutinize them all very carefully to learn something. We are very fortunate to have a contributor like him on photo net. Thierry has an excellent portfolio also by the way.

Reza Shadpay , April 09, 2006; 08:27 A.M.

to Thierry

You could name M.H portfolio by better word, for example: "Million Alyh Roze". ;)

d'ont know what to say

i am really honoured to get ratings from an artist like you. i think i am in love with photography as much as you are exept that i am probably not showing enough what i do for two reasons, lack of time to scan the work i aleready have(i basically only show the digital camera shots) and i have a lack of confidence in "my style." after looking at your work and seeing all the passion you put into it i am inspired like i never was before.

thank you very much.

Sejs Face , May 28, 2006; 06:38 A.M.

Thank you.

Simply Wow

Misha,

While it is hard to pick a favorite image or for that matter a favorite folder I must say that the intimacy of "Afternoon Love Poem" has got to be my most viewed.

I just kept going back to it and becoming more and more involved with the images stunning to say the least.

I'm not sure what took me so long to find your images but now that I have I am sure that I will spend as much time enjoying them.

Your work is A++++++

Hello Misha, how are you? Long time no speak. I am glad everything with you is going well, from a photography standpoint that is. 1812 images now, jesus man, you are a machine.

I just wanted to drop a quick note to say all your recent work is top notch. You continue to be an inspiration in my life. I hope that you might see some progression in my own photography - I have begun to market myself pretty heavily in Toronto now. In 12 months I will be living in Chang Mai, Thailand. If you need a contact there, let me know!

Hello Friend!

Well here it is another year is passing away and we are coming into the holidays. I think time starts to go faster as we get older, it was just yesterday I wished my friends Happy Holidays and here it is again the end of a year. The holiday lights are starting to be put on some of the trees here in Dallas, we were out last night and some were lighting the trees. I wish for you all a holiday season with family and friends, after all is said and done all we have is each other.

I want all of you to know just what your comments and ratings on my work means to me, your words are my motivation, my drive to discover, to learn this art that we all love, thank you for taking time and thank you for caring about my works. At the same time thank you for letting us see your world, our lives are so much the same, we all care about our families and friends and we all share the same things, maybe someday our photos will help make for a lasting world peace. May you and your family be blessed this season.

Happy Holidays and Happy Shooting

Ken

Maurizio Moro , December 16, 2007; 01:59 P.M.

Dear friend, Saturday night, the 8th of December, my wife and I, had a big incident with our car (head-on collision), and we are alive for miracle: anyway, these not good moments, become also good moments! indeed, in these occasions, we can understand that life is so breakable, for not being happy every day to awaken, drink a coffee, to smile, to make love and other simple things, to meet people and, why not, to do photographs! For doing these things we don?t need a lot of money and power: we need only our life and the capacity for surprise of simple things. I have had a big gift, for this Xmas and the New Year, that is to say, I?m alive! and now, I know, I?ll love more life! My dear friend! I wish to you the same thing, namely, the ability to transform the accidents of life in happiness to live better and to give the proper value to your life and to that of other! Merry Xmas and Happy New Year!....Ciaomau!

After a long visit of your portfolio, I managed to finished to view all of your images more than my normal visiting time!
I noticed that you love to take images no matter what, even there are more thousand of same subjects!

In my HMO would be nice to select just few tens (i.e. Miss L, Miss M) among these thousand subjects and try to capture a quality shot, but hey, it is me, not you!
by the way what M. H. stands for?
I enjoyed some of your images and put few comments for them.
Thank you for sharing these few thousand -
