Bravo!
First of all, thank you for posting that cambridge website on the forum. I have an associate who has been an advocate for raw and I have been lazy - using jpg. But I have come around slowly without knowing exactly why and this website is awesome in explaining everything. It should be required reading for every digital photographer. The only argument I saw for jpg in the forum was for speed in terms of the camera "writing" the files and if you are a sports photographer you want to get them as fast as possible without any hangups. I will keep that in mind if I need to shoot action at 5 frames per second. Otherwise it is raw all the way for me.
Secondly, this is a remarkable, intuitive photo gallery which I am enjoying thoroughly.
Best regards, Leora

Hi
Just wanted to drop a line, I now have the Rolleiflex photos scanned... Took a while, summer is not good for digital lab time;)
Waiting for those your shots to come here on your portfolio also:)

This comment is thought for the Rolleiflex folder.
Let me add some info on how I stared to test all the pitfalls give when you are new to 6x6 MF and Rolleiflex:
Please check the comments at the images itself (I will add them soon). All images are really untouched, so that you are able to see how they came out of the box. Only 19 & 20 are brightened by a half stop. No crop, sharpening or something else.
Films used so far: Kodak BW400CN, Ilford HP5 400 and Ilford XP2 Super 400 (See details at each image)
What did I mess up?
A) As a MF beginner the loading and unloading was manageable, but the mistake I did was to take away the last 'fixing' paper string - though the development did not know to distinguish between Ilford HP5 400 and Ilford XP2 Super 400. One a C41 the other not. So we decided to take test strips to know which film is which, losing some frames.
B) Main fault I did was not to set back the film counter (15) . This was causing the mechanic not to transport the film correct and so I had a big amount (more than 50%) of wrong transported images, though losing them. Images with minor problems on that are: 04 & 16 & 17.
The real problems can be seen in the booklet shots (13 & 14).
Finally I did mess up two rolls by intention (15b) on the open Rolleiflex to debug the problem. A next test roll with Counter-Set-Back brought up a correct film and no transport problems.
C) Not yet found a system to remember 'Did I transport the film to the next frame or not' - so I came back with some double exposures. See 09 & 10.
This are two which may work by chance - but for sure not the way I like to work. So my approach will be 'alway forward after the shot'.
D) A thing which could not be fixed is that a lot of the images do show a light-flare (compare 01 and 08). I could reduce it by really using the lens cap. Only the cap off for the shot. But still not ok for 100%.
On the other hand this thing is really simple to handle. After some views I was able to compose through that viewfinder. Focusing was fine and I think the lens is ok.
Really helpful is the DOF table on the back (11).
I though to put this together if some out out there also like to start on that. This may help.
Do not hesitate to contact me if you have a question.
Axel
PS After receiving the camera I unmounted the viewfinder and did a clean with a damp cloth. After that the viewfinder was much brighter.

Thank you for dropping by to my images. I have enjoyed my visit to yours, immensely - especially your Sailing Portfolio – it, of itself, is uplifting.
I liked your Theme of Long Exposure also.
All the best,

Me gusta mucho tu album, sobre todo como captas a la gente en la calle y más dandole fuerza en blanco y negro. Enhorabuena. Un abrazo.

First and for all, thank you for your visit and kind comments on my recent uploads and on the various works in my portofolio - which in fact- gave me the opportunity to discover your space here on PN. Because of time shortage I just only scrolled through your portofolio and as a first summary, I found a very diversified collection with a variety of scenes, moods and color combinations which you converted masterly into attractive photographic documents. I will be back shortly to have a better look on those gems and to comment accordingly. Have a nice evening - wherever you may be.
