Now that I've looked at more of your portfolio, I can see you are not adverse to bending reality a bit (the flying rays are great). So why not use one of the boats in fog pictures as a background for the pelican on the piling? The verticle masts of the boats would make a nice repetition of the verticle piling. Anyway, just a thought. (As to my egrets flying over the river picture--thanks for the comment, by the way--I can't claim to have captured them actually flying over the river. I have many shots of egrets--they live around here and I stalk them regularly with my camera--and I shamelessly put them into landscapes that need a bit of punching up!What's Photoshop for anyway??) I'm glad to have "discovered" you and will be back in the future to see what you're up to.

Hi Jerry - thanks for commenting on my "Opening" photo...this photo was taken in Cabos San Lucas, Baja Penninsula Mexico...I took this shot using my old 'point and shoot' camera, Konica Minolta ...have since switched to a Nikon D80...so in answer to your question I didn't use any filters...the shading was a total fluke..!

PS I really like your portfolio...will be coming back to visit often!

Hello Friend!

Well here it is another year is passing away and we are coming into the holidays. I think time starts to go faster as we get older, it was just yesterday I wished my friends Happy Holidays and here it is again the end of a year. The holiday lights are starting to be put on some of the trees here in Dallas, we were out last night and some were lighting the trees. I wish for you all a holiday season with family and friends, after all is said and done all we have is each other.

I want all of you to know just what your comments and ratings on my work means to me, your words are my motivation, my drive to discover, to learn this art that we all love, thank you for taking time and thank you for caring about my works. At the same time thank you for letting us see your world, our lives are so much the same, we all care about our families and friends and we all share the same things, maybe someday our photos will help make for a lasting world peace. May you and your family be blessed this season.

Wanted to thank you for the great comment you put on El Capitan dawn, It is much appreciated. Also gave me a chance to revisit your folio. Wonderful postings. Your Morning tide #2 is still one of my favorites. I commented on it in March and now that we have that ability to have a " favorite photographs " folio I took the liberty to add it to mine. Super Shot and your HDR is really awesome on that shot...RAY

I only just now realized you made a comment about my cat picture ("Being Pearl"). She is not an exotic breed, just a long haired gray cat that we had clipped at the groomer's because she was getting full of burrs--what with summer and being outdoors all the time-- and she hated having them pulled out (to the point of being downright dangerous to handle). So they left a tuft of hair on the end of her tail, some ruff around her head and some hair on her legs. It made for an interesting look, and that is why I followed her around for a week, snapping pictures! I've enjoyed very much revisiting your portfolio. You do great work.

Yes, if turkey tail fungus is what grows on the sides of trees that is what it is, but I couldn't help seeing other possibilities with it as well.
