Engaged
A good collection of pictures, excellent colours especially the lady in the sari against a blue wall. The subjects are noticeably engaged with the photographer, and seem as interested in you as you are in them, which makes for very strong images.

A superb portfolio
You have excellent examples of photographic work in here. I have really enjoyed the way you have captured the essence of this country through its people. You can tell there is a meaningful interaction with your subjects, and it shows all over. Color is owesome, and really brings joy, energy to your work.

Outstanding compositions, Cathy. To me, you capture the essence of these people very well. If pushed to name a favourite photo, it would be 'girl' - lovely expression, placement and good use of DOF. M

Colourful portfolio
You have got a wonderful portfolio, these two places (India and Myanmar) are simply too colourful for portraits. I think your slides show must have attracted lots of audience. Thanks for sharing your work.

You have created some delightful environmental portraits. Boy with Horses, Boy with Cow, Gypsy Girl, Sewing Shop Girl ...They certainly shine over and above the more closely cropped ones. This might be a personal preference on my part. I'm a huge fan of the type of composition and horizontal orientation you used on those shots. Again, nothing less than delightfull.

Hi Cathy, love your portraits from diverse Asian cultures. An eye-opener.

You have a great body of work here--an eye for the light and a sensitivity toward the people. It would be interesting to see your skills devoted to documentary--exploring narrative threads instead of just taking standalone pictures (which you are obviously good at).
rich ullsmith , April 19, 2005; 09:01 P.M.
Stunning images. As mentioned above, you have an obvious connection with your subjects. Take more trips, send more photos. Thanks.

Hello Friend!
Well here it is another year is passing away and we are coming into the holidays. I think time starts to go faster as we get older, it was just yesterday I wished my friends Happy Holidays and here it is again the end of a year. The holiday lights are starting to be put on some of the trees here in Dallas, we were out last night and some were lighting the trees. I wish for you all a holiday season with family and friends, after all is said and done all we have is each other.
I want all of you to know just what your comments and ratings on my work means to me, your words are my motivation, my drive to discover, to learn this art that we all love, thank you for taking time and thank you for caring about my works. At the same time thank you for letting us see your world, our lives are so much the same, we all care about our families and friends and we all share the same things, maybe someday our photos will help make for a lasting world peace. May you and your family be blessed this season.
Happy Holidays and Happy Shooting
Ken
