Great portfolio - I love 'playing with fire'. It is interesting that you focused on the logs instead of the flame... maybe its common sense to you but it never occurred to me. I'm going to try it in my next fire!

Cyrus you know what I like best about your style and gallery is the color! This is one aspect that SO very few photographers actually have a great handle on! It is so easy to turn a photo into black and white because there is something that is 'kinder to the eye' in regards to the photo viewing. BUT it is the photographer that has the 'gift of color' that controls all aspects of life within a frame :)

Thank you for your help, the edits look great. I made the shot with digital Rebel XT, 75-300 telephoto lens. I would love to know what editing software program you use or recommend. When using canon digital professional, I am somewhat satisfied after editing, but when printing, the print preview looks very yellow and washed out and this is the way it prints- totally different from the shot taken and edited. Thank you again, I appreciate your advice, it's very helpful.

The print not matching what you see on the screen is a VERY common problem when there is no calibration of monitor and printer.I will have to send you an email as this is a bit involved, unfortunately! Please tell me what printer you are using as this helps me be better prepared. So, please watch for my email whithin the next 24 hours. Best regards.

Unfortunately, after I learned that not many would bother doing that, I post only in their medium form at. As you know, if a larger photo is not viewed in it's bigger size, will present itself as a lesser quality work.

Hello Friend!

Well here it is another year is passing away and we are coming into the holidays. I think time starts to go faster as we get older, it was just yesterday I wished my friends Happy Holidays and here it is again the end of a year. The holiday lights are starting to be put on some of the trees here in Dallas, we were out last night and some were lighting the trees. I wish for you all a holiday season with family and friends, after all is said and done all we have is each other.

I want all of you to know just what your comments and ratings on my work means to me, your words are my motivation, my drive to discover, to learn this art that we all love, thank you for taking time and thank you for caring about my works. At the same time thank you for letting us see your world, our lives are so much the same, we all care about our families and friends and we all share the same things, maybe someday our photos will help make for a lasting world peace.
