Beautiful photos. I liked especially "Skylight". Congrats.

Good B&W

Daryl, I really like your black and white images. Keep up the good work. How are you printing them?

Daryl Walter , October 12, 2004; 04:29 P.M.

Rogerio, James - thanks for commenting. James (apologies for the late reply!) I haven't quite resolved that yet. I've been using an online print service which sometimes works quite nicely for B&W (matt prints look good) but I'm considering trying out the Lyson quad grey system.

Lot's of great photo's. Excellent diversity. I don't like one particular folder, there are great pics in each of them. Good Works and Keep Them Coming.

Great portfolio! Your skill and vision are evident.

I especially like your "treescapes" folder, this is stunning, but your entire portfolio is full of great shots. There's plenty to inspire enthusiastic beginners like myself!

Best wishes, Hugo

Daryl,

Thank you for your comments on my portfolio. Looking at the experience and stunning work you bring to the forum, it makes me even more pleased that you took the time out to look at mine. Your work is stunning, and thanks for the explanation on the shot you took at the falls.

Daryl Walter , December 27, 2005; 05:40 A.M.

Thanks for all your comments everyone, much appreciated!

Mike Stacey , December 27, 2005; 04:47 P.M.

Daryl I think you underestimate your work. You seem to have a style emerging which is based around patterns in nature - exemplified by your image "Sand Patterns" which is a great shot. Keep searching and photographing. Thanks.

Daryl Walter , February 12, 2006; 05:18 A.M.

Hi Mike, thanks for looking and commenting - appreciate it. I always wonder if my pictures have an obvious style - it's not apparent to me so interesting to hear your thoughts.

Yann R. , April 19, 2006; 08:01 A.M.

Not one I don't like. I've just had an exquisite time visiting your portfolio.

Paul Deans , June 01, 2006; 04:40 P.M.

Hi Daryl, You are a class act. What a portfolio.

Are you local? (Woodbridge/Snape)

Your portfolio is so good, I can almost feel your presence :0)

kind regards, Paul

Daryl Walter , June 25, 2006; 03:54 A.M.

Thanks Yann, thanks Paul! Paul, I'm not local (~2hrs from you) but I do like your part of the world (as you obviously noticed :) ). There is something about the bleak old north sea that appeals. Thanks again.

Christopher Harris , November 02, 2006; 10:27 P.M.

Great stuff, Daryl, I particularly have gravitated to your B&W and landscape scenes. Wonderful images all. Best regards, Chris

Ken Simm , November 03, 2006; 03:23 P.M.

What do you say to someone who gets to places before you and takes better shots. I can only claim that the weather was atrocious when I last went to Eilean Donan but we all know thats just an excuse. A remarkable set of images. A clear and definite eye. Excellent. Regards Ken.

Glad

I am glad you posted "Halfdome". It led me here, where found some really great photos. Specially Your B&W work pleases me. Take care, a s l a

Christopher Harris , November 23, 2006; 07:49 P.M.

Daryl, I had to come back for another visit to some of the best stuff on PN. I am absolutely smitten with "The Grey Ladies." I can't seem to go a day or two without looking at them in your beautiful image. Then I get kind of caught up looking at all of your other stuff...and well, an hour's gone by. You have such an eye for the landscape and world around you. You're a real inspiration for me. Best regards, Chris

Hi Daryl,

I really enjoyed browsing throught your portfolio, some very impressive images.

The compositions are very strong, I thought the B and W of the succulent was a really beautiful photograph. Among others, I enjoyed the Lanyon Quoit shot with the mist. We seem to like some of the same places!

Hello Friend!

Well here it is another year is passing away and we are coming into the holidays. I think time starts to go faster as we get older, it was just yesterday I wished my friends Happy Holidays and here it is again the end of a year. The holiday lights are starting to be put on some of the trees here in Dallas, we were out last night and some were lighting the trees. I wish for you all a holiday season with family and friends, after all is said and done all we have is each other.

I want all of you to know just what your comments and ratings on my work means to me, your words are my motivation, my drive to discover, to learn this art that we all love, thank you for taking time and thank you for caring about my works. At the same time thank you for letting us see your world, our lives are so much the same, we all care about our families and friends and we all share the same things, maybe someday our photos will help make for a lasting world peace. May you and your family be blessed this season.

Happy Holidays and Happy Shooting

Ken
