Your portfolio represents the art and abstracts that only nature can provide; an art which you have captured extremely well. Digital manipulation and fractals are "a very different perspective" which I really enjoy. Sometimes, others see them as artistic or creative...sometimes not so...but I am happy to be on PN any way because it has been a wonderful way to share our love of nature and photography. Thank you for stopping by my portfolio! It is so encouraging - especially since I am a new photographer. All the images on my portfolio were taken with a Canon S1 IS and I have only just now bought a DSLR and must learn ISO's and Apertures! So scary as I know nothing about all that! My Blue Angel is one of my first pictures with my new camera. I love your tree pictures!! Especially the green one in Brooklyn Botanical Garden - so very magical!! I will keep coming back to see what else you have! Thank you again!

You have so many beautiful images! And they are all of different genres! My great respect for your beautiful work! And thank you for the very nice comment on my portfolio! I am a beginner.. I think???? I had a point and shoot and I let the camera do all the work. But in November I got a DSLR and am learning different exposures and learning to see the light better (although I haven't quite figured out how to get it onto my image!)and using ISO and apertures. There is soo much to learn and I find the more I shoot the more I learn. And people on this site have been very helpful! I have some experience with composition as I apply it in interior decorating. I am realizing alot of the same rules apply to photography - except that DOF! I am still learning that too. Thank you again Dorota - it is comments like yours that keep me motivated and eager to learn more.

Dorota: It is alot of experimenting with low speeds and low light. It is almost impossible to have the same effect, on the same subject from day-to-day. Also, some subjects don't work well...for example flowers! So far, what you have done is very good! Thanks. John Math
