Hello Eric, thank you for your feedback on my photo. You got me thinking about a few things and some new ideas I can try out. I saw you portfolio and I was very pleased with the over all feeling that I got from looking at the images in it. Your photography has a Zen quality to it. Your images are full of space, beautiful space. You don't seem to focus on the objects your photographing, but rather it is as if you wanted to bring ones attention to all the space around the object. I really liked the new Zealand landscapes for their simplicity, they look like Japanese watercolors. Wonderful stuff you have here! I look forward to seeing more.

They are very colorful, beautiful and creative. for me, sometimes "expression" and "representation" are the same thing of both sides, and may have different proportion of weighting depends on the subject what I take. Hi Eric - thanks for your thoughtful, constructive critique on my Downward Spiral picture. I share your philosophy in photography being a medium of expression, and the technical skills in being the picture just being one component. The titles I give my pictures also tend to reflect the emotion the images stirrs in my mind. This particular picture is an extreme close-up of a fossilized creature called Ammonite, which lived a few hundred million years ago. I am impressed your work, and the creativity that your images express. Look forward to more from you. Best regards.

Strong portfolio, Eric! It is varied and has a surprisingly colourful theme to it. I'd be really interested in any more of the "light painting" images, so if you have any more of those, let me know! Chris.

Sometimes it's worth going back to an image to "follow up" because I think I've learned more on return visits, certainly on some of your shots. I've also taken the time to view your portfolio and really enjoyed it. I can see that I have similar taste and style but I feel I have much to learn compared to some of yours. I'll be back.

I came across one of your photos in the critique forum and am so glad I did. I took a tour through your portfolio and you have a wonderful eye for color and composition.

I live in Temple and frequently get down to Austin for photo shoot opportunities. Texas has some wonderful places to spend a day with a camera. I also spent some time in Italy but at that time only had a little p&s and zero skills (not that I have any now) so I very much enjoyed your capture of that wonderful place.
