Bonjour Gilles. Thanks a lot for your kind comments on my pictures. And good guess : The park where I took the night pictures is indeed the 'parc des Buttes Chaumont'. Paris is the place I live and I have already been going around for hours to try to catch its mood and people. Not such an easy task actually. The city is beautiful but not easy to capture. So I have been particularly interested in your Paris series. It's great to see how someone living abroad but who obviously knows the place intimately, feels it special mood and sees its people. Very nice photos of New York too. I'll be back. A bientot. Alain.

I like your portfolio. Reminds me that I need to do more street photography. People are often the most interesting subject and I rarely pull the trigger. Good stuff!

...from Italy!!!
Dear Gilles, thanks for your interest and compliments on my Elena. I profit by the occasion:...Xmas is not only a Christian festivity, it is also a wish of rebirth, of continuous change considering the new year, who will like you more and more a human being!
Good your Xmas and good 2007!
Maurizio.

Gilles,I went through your portfolio with great interest. You have many photographs of high quality there, I appreciate very the sharpness of them and a very good, original composition. I really like your street photographs from Paris and New York, both cities I love so much, also. It is really very difficult to capture the atmosphere of these beautiful cities but you succeeded here.best wishes, maria

Best New York!
Quite the best photo-essay on NYC I've seen yet! Great photography and an eye for the real stuff. All your other shots get there too ... a wonderful way to look around a few far-flung locations. Good work!

You have seen an entirely different New York City than my own.
I enjoyed going through the pictures a lot and will keep an eye open for more.

Dear Gilles:
What impresses me it is that the style is appropriated to the message, idea, concept or whatever you want to convey. You have great eye to create art.Nice technique, great ideas behind them and a wonderful dept in images appears which create a class of your own. I have been watching your portfolio; it has been a very rewarding experience. It has been very intense, therefore tiring. The toning of your photos emphasizes this quality.Thanks...
