Hi Kevin.

Many thanks for your comment to one of my photos. Took the oportunity to visit your beautiful gallery. I love your strong, saturated colors, "scenery" is a fantastic portfolio. Joao

Kevin, took the hint to comment on your portfolio. Scenery is generally good, with a good sense of composition and good use of colour. Only one scene has a real focal point though (the bench) and this is the best. A person or anything to give somewhere for the eye to rest is good. You carefully guide the eye through the scene but then it wanders out the other side.

Kevin

You like colors and it shows in your photographs.

That's why you shoot a lot of nature photography as well as any other colorful subject.

What you need to remember is that the content is more important that how you present it.

That said, it's very easy to see where are your strengths points.

Shoot Automobiles!

7-8 shots out of the total 10 images of the "Automobiles" have good ideas with very good compositions.

You understand them and are passionate about them. It shows in your shots.

While out of 15 shots of the "People" folder only 2-3 of them have decent compositions. You have to understand that any artist crave to find his strengths and based on what you have posted here it couldn't have been more clear. Now if you want to expand your horizon of course you can but then you need to study the master's works in other genres and try to find your own styles while pinning the technical down.

I think the following shot, is your best shot in the scenery portfolio: (even though it's over saturated and the details are a bit mushy)

But the composition and angle of camera as well as combination of colors are very nice.

You need just a little improvement to shoot for car magazines and much more connection for improving your people photography skills.

I wish you the best.

Thank you for sharing your portfolio with me.

Cheers
