Some of the best square medium format work I have seen. Very very nice and inspirational. I see you have dumped your C330 (maybe in favour of the Hasselblads). Did you like the C330? There are a couple of beautiful photos (with the C330) in your portfolio. By the way, you have got some serious money into your equipment. Did you win the lottery dude?

I find most of these images absolutely stunning. This is the kind of thing I aspire to.

I can overdose on rich, saturated colours sometimes, so it's nice to see the more subtle colours in the fernbrook and black and white other folders.

I like the strong sense of colour but in my opnion many of the pictures lack a real sense of soul. The pictures are beautiful but one can still ask for more...

Great stuff. I lived in Sydney for two years and travelled a bit, but wasn't into photography as much back then.....playing too much rugby and taking a few knocks. Older now and must find a new hobby!

One question is regarding your scans of slides. What type of scan method did you use to get these shots on the web; drum, machine? I ask because when I have a lab scan my slides there is so much loss in the end.

Lastly, what type/brand of filters do you use. There are some outstanding color casts here and I was curious how you achieved them.

Very nice indeed. Perhaps to help us more ordinary folks it would be great if at the start of the critique page you mention a little field note. For example, f22, 10 seconds, waited 2 days for right lighting conditions.

I*ve looked at other Aussie greats such as Ken Duncan, and had some doubt if it is possible to *do it* without a Lindhof Master (6x18), but you really have me thinking that it is possible in the square format.

Jeff, I am a fine artist (painter) by profession but have drifted into Digital art in recent times. Your folio is extremely inspirational, not only in its artistic and photograhic content but also in the creative titling you use from time to time. All of your photographs speak loudly for themselves and don't need further explanation but when the moment is appropriate you add an extra spark into your masterfully captured subjects with a clever title. You are a true artist in your own medium and I have inspired me to try reach another level in my own art. Every now and then someone, like you, comes along and fires up another persons' inspiration. You must really enjoy your life and camera and those special moments of the day, when most people are either eating or sleeping and missing those intimate moments that only nature provides.
