Emmanuel Enyinwa , April 18, 2007; 11:38 P.M.

Your pictures have a casual surface simplicity that hides the real depth of emotion and meaning the sits beneath the surface. One feels he KNOWS your subject, and therin lies the strength of your art. Emmanuel.

James I followed your comment on my portfolio, here to yours. Am so pleased that I have. Your portfolio is not long on content, but excellent in quality. A varied rang of images well thought out and well put together. I saw you have ring necked doves, my wife gave me a half dozen on my 60th birthday. I am so enjoying them. All the best to you!.............roger

Thanks....

Hi James, you working on my pic of the Ethiopian man (which is indeed out of focus), is one of the best reasons that I can offer why photo.net is such a wonderful virtual network of people with an interest in and/or passion for photograpy. Thanks, again, and I am looking forward to see whether the p/s magic will make up for where I slipped. Best, Arnold

Thank you

James .. Thank you for your kind words. We are always our worst critic I think. I'm still not getting the results I'm looking for but do value the input I get from others. My peers such as you ... are the eyes that I do not have. Thanks again and great shooting! Kevin S Atkins

Great Stuff!

James, I have to say that this is a very high quality collection of images you've put together here. I have enjoyed looking at each and everyone of them. You have a way of finding interesting and scenic subjects. I really admire your people shots; so full of emotion and interest. That snapping turtle is positively terrifying! Please keep up the great work, my friend. I am so very glad I found your portfolio. Cheers! Chris

James, Thanks for your comment on my portfolio. You certainly have a great portfolio as well. You have a very good variety of excellent quality pictures. From your ?Stilt walkers? to your ?Times gone past?, ?Heerrress Johnny?, ?Barn window & vines?, all the birds one and the excellent portrait of Mary, they are all amazing.

Burim Luta , October 02, 2007; 04:16 A.M.

Great

Great portofolio

What I realy like about it is that you have a lot of "On action" shots of different people doing what they know how to do best.

Thank you for rating my shots.

Best regards Burim

Deadly!

James you're what our Australian aboriginal people would call "Deadly". It's their expression for themselves when they're being great at whatever they're great at. I've fallen into your portfolio through a couple of photos I've commented on (favourably) ... and I see the capture-artist at work in here. I really like where you come from with your camera. I hope you keep posting lots more so we can all enjoy your future photographic insights. Cheers.

James

Thanks for your kind words in my portfolio. The LeConte picture was not of my doing... it was one of those perfect late Winter, early Spring mornings where the air was so clear and sharp it would cut you. This photo was hand held using just a polarizer, no saturation by PS at all. I did adjust the contrast to help bring out the bright blue coat and all the other sharp features. I haven't learned how to HDR yet :-).

The thing that pulled me to your "The End of The Path" photo was first off the natural beauty of it, but also I recognized a lighting situation that is extremely difficult (for me at least) to master. Direct lighting in the trees is so hard to manage, like taking a picture of a black dog! I know yours wasn't a mistake 'cause you have several! :-)

Again, thanks... Mike Mancil

Hello Friend!

Well here it is another year is passing away and we are coming into the holidays. I think time starts to go faster as we get older, it was just yesterday I wished my friends Happy Holidays and here it is again the end of a year. The holiday lights are starting to be put on some of the trees here in Dallas, we were out last night and some were lighting the trees. I wish for you all a holiday season with family and friends, after all is said and done all we have is each other.

I want all of you to know just what your comments and ratings on my work means to me, your words are my motivation, my drive to discover, to learn this art that we all love, thank you for taking time and thank you for caring about my works. At the same time thank you for letting us see your world, our lives are so much the same, we all care about our families and friends and we all share the same things, maybe someday our photos will help make for a lasting world peace. May you and your family be blessed this season.

Happy Holidays and Happy Shooting

Ken

Cordial greetings!

Sorry James...

I can't seem to pick a favorite. I look at one, like the sun streaming through the trees, and then I find a still life that captures my eye. What a wonderfully mixed portfolio!

Thank you so much for your comment. I do miss my sunsets now that I'm in Chicago. Those were taken in my home town of Los Angeles. Not quite awake in the morning to catch a sunrise over Lake Michigan! ;-)

Can't wait to see more! Elisabeth

Charles Miller , March 14, 2009; 10:37 P.M.

Thank you for your recent rating and comments on my "Flight of Orchids." You have some beautiful orchid shot in your portfolio as well as many other exciting pictures. Were the stilt walkers real and photoshopped down to the picture or are they models? It is a very interesting shot. I hope you will visit more of my photos, any suggestions for improvement are always welcome. -- Charles
