Fascinating collection and range

I like the range of photos and, with so many clever and artistic pictures on PhotoNet, how the scenes are assembled.
My photos of Moscow are much less splendid and my cast not quite so attractive:

Very nice work. I think that the portrait work in particular is very innovative and very well done.

I appreciate your ideas, and planning, especially the vintage looks. Nice stuff.

Ivan Milovidov , January 22, 2005; 05:34 P.M.

Some of your pictures in photo.net portfolio are extremely well done in terms of smallest details, light and composition. There are truly breathtaking. I also know for sure to produce this kind of shot you need involvement of many people - makeup artists and stylists, such and such. It also means the clients shopped for a photographer and you got the job because you were the best for the job. Based on the pictures you were the best choice for the job. You are a true professional.

At the same time you're confusing me with keeping amateur looking shots in your portfolio.

Is there a reason?

Nestor Botta , February 24, 2005; 07:29 P.M.

I agree with Ivan in his last sentences. You're in my list of "favourites photographer" here in p.net, but it seems that you should exercise more your self-criticism: there many amateurish, obvious, cliche and trivial images, mixed up with many others that we could undoubtly consider as pieces of art...

Wonderful work.

You've got some very interesting work here. However, I think it's lame that you give no ratings/comments to others' work while receiving so many yourself.

Codrut Burdujan , February 21, 2006; 01:59 P.M.

journal entry

After all this time, your shot entitled 'Morning' (the one that, I think, was at some point chosen as pow), is still the best shot my eye has ever tasted here, on photo.net -- or anywhere, for that matter. Compared to that image, your portfolio only seems insipid (perhaps with the exception with the retro-dress shot, which also touches a nerve).

My congratulations.

Haleh Bryan , November 20, 2006; 04:53 P.M.

Your work has a timeless value to it. Every singel image has an immense depth to it.

Jeffery Beach , January 27, 2007; 07:16 A.M.

Very creative and beautiful. Russian women are very beautiful. You are a lucky man.

I would like to again echo the above to commenters. I have noticed a trend in this in my perusal of portfolios here on photo.net. A portfolio is to show your BEST work - the best of the best. EDIT OUT THE STUFF THAT DOESN'T SHOWCASE YOUR TALENT.

Besides that, there are some truly beautiful pieces here. Keep up the good work. I particularly like the period looking pieces. Some of your execution is brilliant.

regards
