Nose for interesting places.., eyes for observing and reacting.., a mouth for smiling and an easily to keep cool head. A portrait of this straight "street" photographer. Let him enjoy, don't disturb him but keep in contact and he will grow and more than survive..! Your shots are showing the good feeling and tention. A pleasure to recognize. Be more than welcome Matt and feel so! See you!

Hi Matt

Nice portfolio ! Congratulations! Good Work !

Paul Aver , February 06, 2007; 08:24 P.M.

Great portfolio. Also, that pic of you (I assume) at the BBQ is really funny. All around the world, nothing makes men happier than drinking and lighting things on fire.

Matt Rosemier , February 07, 2007; 11:34 A.M.

Thanks, Paul. Yes, that's me in the profile picture. It was taken five minutes before the fire brigade showed up.

Antonio S. , February 10, 2007; 12:59 P.M.

Wow !!

Matt, Like very much your street photos. They are so natural and always get the feeling of that moment. Saluti dall'Italia and Buon Appetito for your delicious bbq.

I have just seen your portfolio and I surprise it changed of your photos, specially these peoples who walk for the streets of the city. Thanks and regards.

hawk's eye

matt - i am glad you commented on my 'cakewalk' picture. not just because of your positive comments on it, but also because it introduced me to your portfolio. a perusal of your work shows that hawk's eye for the fleeting image, coupled with a seemingly innate sensitivity and sensibility for people and reactions.

rock on!

Hi Matt,

Stumbled across your portfolio through a rating you gave on one of my pics. Really good stuff here, especially in your streetlife images. You have a very good eye for capturing the moment! Keep up the good work!

Thanks for dropping by. Glad I found your page. There is quite a lot of good to look at and soak in here. I particularly like your Stuff, People and Street folders, but there is great stuff all over.

Your Street shots are very illustrative and remind me of HCB, full of 'moments'

a big thanks and a comment

thanks Matt for the wonderful praise you gave me for my airplant flower photo - I do try to see flowers not as a whole or just as something pretty but I try to find what is special about it - like seeing an interesting face on a person or maybe just the lips - having a good Canon 100mm macro lens helps too - good bokeh is easy with the Canon but of course you have to make sure you have a good background

my comment is that I love your street shots - that is one thing I dont do well but you have a feel for it - very rich in emotions - great work Matt

Daryl Crouse , September 18, 2007; 02:48 P.M.

Please know that I find this gallery totally fascinating due to the "candid flavor" of the images. The photos are simple, but yet reflect a unique depth in perspective & are multifaceted in nature. Once again...Matt Rosmier's work is fascinating. Thank you for taking time to share.

Joseph Popper , September 20, 2007; 09:28 P.M.

Wonderful candid shots in your Street scenes, Matt. How do you handle model releases. After the shot, do you ask the people to sign model releases? Im still new to Street Photography and wonder how people might feel if they happen to browse PN and see themselves caught in an unaware moment. ? Please tell how you do it.

Michael Linder , February 16, 2009; 09:03 A.M.

Love your "portrait"! I just browsed through your portfolio and found a diversity of subject-matter, which reflects your adaptability and creativity. I will return to browse more deliberately.

Also, I wanted to thank you for your feedback on my Mount Charleston photo. I took your advice and cropped it to eliminate the rocky area toward the bottom left. The revised version is posted to my Mount Charleston folder, if you're interested.
