Just one thing I noticed in your landscape shots.. The sky always seems a bit washed out, have you considered using a Netural Density Filter to get more detail in the clouds.??? That would really help to make your pics Very good. Just my opition.

Maria ti ringrazio x i tuo commenti ai miei scatti. Volevo farti una precisazione riguardo un tuo commento ad una delle mie ultime foto. Lo scatto mio in questione ritrae piazza plebiscito a Napoli, la catena presente nell'imagine l'ho volutamente inserita nello scatto. Nella composizione fotografica esiste la cosiddetta "quinta" e serve a dare profondità alla foto stessa, e come un pò fotografare attraverso un arco dei cespugli ecc... Ti ringrazio ancora del commento e mi spiace di non averti trasmesso nel migliore dei modi la funzione di quell'oggetto nella composizione. ps: complimenti x il tuo portfolio

Francesco, perdona, allora,il commento ignorante. Sono un'autodidatta e sono quì per imparare. Lo dico semza ironia, credimi. Ti no parlato solo del mio gusto personale. Mi piacerebbe conoscere di più da chi ha molta più conoscenza tecnica della mia. Grazie e perdonami.

Spesso la conoscenza di alcune tecniche non implica necessariamente la loro sempre esatta applicazione, ecco perchè ho accettato volentieri il tuo commento spontaneo guidato dalla tua sensibilità e gusto personale. Comunque la quinta viene spesso usata sopratutto nelle foto panoramiche per dare magiore profondità allo scatto. Di solito si inserisce nella foto un particolare del panorama in posizione molto ravvicinata, a volte bastano anche pochi fili d'erba. nel mio portfolio ne ho fatto uso relativamente frequente, l'ho usata sia per bilanciare le foto che per incorniciarle. Grazie ancora e ti aspetto al prossimo commento.

Maria you have done a wonderful job, especially the Nature Portfolio and You have a very nice family. Go on with your photography.

That is what I get from the whole group of photos. They are all emotional and intense. Technical issues aside, whatever is the subject, I strongly feel that you display an attachement - some sort of an emphatic bond to it. It obviously appears in the family shots and reappers elsewhere. Your love for color is evident here too. I have earmarked you as a color photographer because then again because of the way you treat color - your appreciation for it.

You have very good sense of composition, but it seems to me, that you are not catching the best light (morning and evening time) when the light is most golden warm and makes pictures alive.

Andrea, i think that the best approch to rate or see a photo is to loock at this and to understand what is means and what the photografher did for take this shot. If you do that it is "condizio sine qua non" to comment a rate, positive or negative. If you do not do that and fly on a picture only giving a negative rate, of corse you offend the photographer's sensibility and passion in his work so he use the same condition of rating without have consideration for your sensibility and your passion. So, be more sensitive not only when your photos are tuched.

There's the photographer's eye as well as pictorial talent in your photos. I privilege the nature folder for the sense of colour and the personal interpretation of the landscape, but highly enjoyable shots in the whole portfolio.

Maria, I have read your disscusion with Tabitha about your hight rating on gianlugi?s photograph and found it extremely brilliant!! I?m quite agree with you and your opinion about this ghost called tabitha. I found a short and curt comment in one of my posted photos saying "too much contrast" and anything else.... obviously I visited it site and didn?t find any photo posted, mmm....suspicious! I don?t care if someone dislike one of my pics if there is a constructive opinion behind that explain why, and as you sad i preffer to rate what I lke and catch my atraction instead of submitt 3/3 rates. Although I think gianlugi?s photo didn?t deserve a 7/7 this is not a reason to be that stupid..... well I just wanted to transmit you my support and agreement on your opinion. Worms like tabitha should be eliminated. In the other hand Let me tell you that i really like your landscape of fields and the country side photographs. saludos. R*

Hello Friend!

Well here it is another year is passing away and we are coming into the holidays. I think time starts to go faster as we get older, it was just yesterday I wished my friends Happy Holidays and here it is again the end of a year. The holiday lights are starting to be put on some of the trees here in Dallas, we were out last night 11-7-07 and some were lighting the trees. I wish for you all a holiday season with family and friends, after all is said and done all we have is each other.

I want all of you to know just what your comments and ratings on my work means to me, your words are my motivation, my drive to discover, to learn this art that we all love, thank you for taking time and thank you for caring about my works. At the same time thank you for letting us see your world, our lives are so much the same, we all care about our families and friends and we all share the same things, maybe someday our photos will help make for a lasting world peace. You've Great collection in your folio. I like it. most of the photographs are really very beautiful. you have good sense of photography I mean you kknow colours, light, composition, exposure and all technical aspects. from your photography you seems nature lover. As you include mostly landscapes, trees, flowers, greenery etc. your photgraphs r with good depth of feild! Keep it up!
