Beautiful Portfolio. Your B & W images are exactly how I'd like mine to be. Your printing technique is impeccable. Any Tips?!

I only discovered this page today. How could I have missed it? Sorry not to respond earlier to all your supportive comments. It's very kind of you all. Good luck with your art.

Hi John, I came accross your collection by accident looking for star trail examples. I must say your photos are a great inspiration , the very professional use of B&W seen so rarely now. Certainly the colour landscapes are done with dedication only one other photographer I know comes close Peter Dombrovski who sadly has passed away.
Please share all your work with us.

I find that I am spending sometime reading in your portfolio recently. Thanks for all the good information. I have also found a few occasions, recently, to refer people to your portfolio for information and a look at some good black and whites. And so I have added your name to the links page on my poor attempt at a web page, for easier access. Hope you don't mind. If you do mind you can always say so and I will remove your name from my links.

Have really enjoyed browsing your collection John. Many of your images could only be made in Tasmania, they virtually smell of the south west. Makes me want to go back, now!
Cheers and thanks for the trip.

Long time!
John,
It has been a long, long time (two years now!) since my brother and I came to visit you and your family! If you remember, we're the kids Doug Burgess connected with you -- I was studying abroad in Sydney and my brother was travelling with for the month prior. We came to visit just as you were planning to start the Outdoor Adventure Guiding and you tested the snowy Cradle Mountain hike on us... and if you remember, I was struggling along behind you guys, still recovering from ACL surgery!
After getting back to the States, I neglected my hotmail account, it erased my inbox, and I lost your email address. I have been thinking about you folks for ages now, wanting to get back in touch, and then it dawned on me that I could try to find you again on photo.net. And here you are! What an amazing portfolio, by the way. The last photo I remember seeing in your collection is that one of the wreck. Knew I'd found the right fella just from that photograph! The black and white of the images just seems to freeze time for an instant. All the movement and sound of the scene stops, something that color rarely achieves... I'm having a hard time explaining it, but perhaps you know what I mean.
In any case, I'd love to find out what is happening with you and your family! My email address now is jkurbjun@gmail.com; please write me any time, and I'll respond with an update from my end!
