Paolita , Those are unbelievably artistic , tender , serene and simply wonderful. I have seen the first photos that you sent me last summer when you started experimenting with your camera instead of your brush and canvas. The start was very promising then. Your photos show a great deal of technical skill, as well as creative drive. They also strike me as very well thought out in their composition, lighting, and subject selection. Non e' da molto tempo che mi dedico alla fotografia in maniera, un po' piu' seria e costante, ma ho sempre considerato la fotografia una vera forma d'arte ed uno strumento meraviglioso per esprimere la propria creativita'. Mi piace questo forum perche' ci sono gallerie fantastiche, fotografi fantastici (come voi) e molto da imparare dal forum, guardando le foto degli altri, leggendo i commenti. It is compositions such as yours Paola, that inspire and at times 'take my breath away'......your background in painting has truly laid a firm foundation (platform) for you to 'merge' into digital photography. You always know your Palette is limitless when painting...be even more so, now that you have another 'passion' to keep you inspired. I will visit often. Dear Gail Thank you very very much for your lovely words, and compliments, I am so happy you appreciate my portfolio as you are a telented photographer and so fond of flowers that are my favourite subject too. I am sure that years and years in paiting activity probably influenced a lot my first steps into the fantastic world of photography, in term of compositions and use of colours, being a painter, made my efforts probably easier.....I am a beginner, a self-taught photographer with so much to learn and practice but I really enjoy so much this new frontier of expression and what I really love more is to share with so many friends my photos and learn and get inspiration from all of you.
