You clearly have an 'eye' for balance. In those images within which there may be many variously sized or located objects, you are able to compose a picture that compensates any required offset and thus provide a balanced image for the viewer.

Buenas!!

Ricardo Navarro , February 15, 2005; 11:52 A.M.

Peter, thank you very much indeed for being the very first to comment on my (yet to grow) portfolio. You are very right: I had never verbalized it conciously, but that search for balance you have shrewdly observed has always been in the back of my mind when I raised the camera to my eye or when appreciating any kind of image. Thank you also for putting it in words for me!

Ricardo Navarro , April 13, 2005; 06:08 A.M.

Gracias Alberto. Desempolva, que te espero!

Guillermo Lobera Temes , April 26, 2005; 06:37 A.M.

Hi Ricardo

Very nice portfolio, congratulations.Good luck & Have good work...

Peter V (Belgium) , December 10, 2006; 05:47 P.M.

Wonderful

You present a set balanced set of picures which I do like very much. The landscape/building photos are made more than well, and some of your portrait are exceptional: they not only seem to be taken with respect, but they capture some of the essence of the involved people, something I rarely see (the portrait of the Bukhara girl is my favourite).

Ricardo Navarro , December 12, 2006; 09:31 A.M.

Peter

Your kind words are flattering and encouraging indeed, Peter, thank you very much!

Juan Riera , December 22, 2006; 04:18 P.M.

Rejith Warrier , December 22, 2006; 05:48 P.M.

Hello Ricardo,

I wish you, your family and your friends a merry Christmas and a very happy new year. Thanks for all your support, ratings and comments on my photos in 2006. It helped me a lot to improve my shots and I hope I will be able to learn a lot more from your valuable inputs in the coming months. Wish you a successful 2007 with a lot of nice photos.

Juan

Francisco Javier Gimenez , December 26, 2006; 05:53 A.M.

Xavier Corcobado , May 03, 2007; 09:33 A.M.

Natural and Honest

Ricardo,

Very nice portfolio. You have a knack for capturing people at ease and in their environment. No trickery or enhancement needed. Good show and I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Ricardo ...

... my favorite folders are the Egypt and Morocco folders; it may be the quality of light, it may be that you were more inspired by the region, but I find those shots my favorites. Well done, and very nice portfolio. I very much appreciate your help with the information on Catalonia.

Ricardo Navarro , February 15, 2008; 09:35 A.M.

Dennis

One would be then tempted to think that you prefer warm colours ... Although, yes, Morocco and Egypt are inspiring all right, and quite a joy for a photographer. Thank you for your words.

Ricardo Navarro , February 16, 2008; 04:53 A.M.

Francisco Javier, Xavier, Michael, storm79, Antonio, John

Thank you all for your kind words, and apologies for my late reply, I have been away from PN for 8 months!

Michael, you already know that I make a point of not manipulating my photos. Certainly no cloning out or additions whatsoever, but also no material adjustments in brightness-contrast, colour, sharpness, etc., or even significant cropping, most of them being full-frame or virtually so. I believe that if one does manipulate his photograps, then he/she is stepping into another field, one that may be called "Digital Art", but not Photography any more. I can see that you are in that same line of thinking, and doing, and you have all my respect for that.

Storm79, you are very welcome to paint based on any of my photos, I am only flattered for that, and would indeed very much like to see your painting! But please note that the boy in question is not from Oman, but a bedouin from Egypt's eastern desert.

Best wishes to you all.

Lynne Ross , August 26, 2008; 07:08 P.M.
