Just wanted to say that you have a great eye for composition and a talent to make simple subjects look interesting. I love your black and whites the most. It reminds me of when I was at Photo school and was testing with different films and contrasts. Excellent exposition. Great stuff!

Tomasz, I have an architectural artifact from the Michigan Central Depot. Its a beautiful and ornate ceiling korbel. Trying to find photo images of this important building in its heyday was nearly impossible. I was trying to see where this heavy piece of gilded plaster was in context to the building's design. With much tenacity I was lucky enough to find your photos through google.

I find it significant that both Detroit's Central "station" and New York City's Central Station were designed by the same architects at approximately the same time, early 1900s...when Detroit was considered to be the Paris of the Midwest.

You captured the grandeur of one of our city's forgotten gems in a majestic way. Thanks for helping shed some reflective light on what Detroit was like and how affluent this city once was. It's a tangible and beautifully graphic way for people to remember and not lose hope for this city!!
