Tony, I think your work is outstanding and I am happy to leave your first portfolio comment. The photos that you have given us stirs up a great deal of emotion. The stern of an old wooden oyster scow? An old bar along Shore Drive in Ocean View? What excellent subjects for fine-art photography. I like your use of traditional gear and traditional film. Please continue to show your wonderful and unique images.

Excellent Portfolio

To answer the question on your bio I can say I think you're doing just great. What a great eye for texture/detail and colour. Your "cars" folder is something else. Congratulations, you have a strong porfolio growing up in here. I'll be back for sure.

Black an d White potential

Hi Tony! That b&W version is really much better. I tried to do it myself by using the grayscale convertion tool of the software I use (Gimp, for Linux) and it didnt work that well. It seems to me that you also enhanced the contrast... Did you?

Thank you for you suggestion

Tony, You have several styles of photography- portraits, deatails, landscapes; excellent- you have a good eye and you're approaching from all sides. I liked seeing how you worked the old rusted car, taking several photos of diffent angles. Your windows collection is evocative; grouped together they make a compelling essay. Very nice explorations.

Elisabeth Jordan , June 21, 2006; 06:25 P.M.

You've been busy adding to your portfolio. Really nice work. You need more planes less flowers...na I'm just kidding ;) thanks for revisting. elisabeth

Kellen Sobiech , September 11, 2006; 02:00 P.M.

Love your work Tony!

I love your haunted house series and the others are inspiring as well...I have to ask, is the house really haunted? It certainly looks like it could be!

I especially like the odd family portrait on the mantle, (why wouldn't they have taken this with them?) that really gave me chill, along with the backlit picture.

I hope that one day I find a subject with that much "un-charisma" :)

Looking forward to seeing more from you.

Great Portfolio

Tony, You have a great porfolio here. I could study each photograph for hours. It is impossible to comment on them one at a time. I like your BW work and that is not to say that your color work is not outstanding. You put my photos to shame. I am glad that I was able to find you on this website.

Keep up the great work, it is obvious you have a passion for photography, and it shows it in your work.

Hi Tony. I'm referring to myself, in the Title. I've been scrolling with my Mouse Wheel, and never got past the line, at the bottom of my pictures. I'm still attempting to learn computers, and navigating web sites. What a surprise, to find such complimentary comments. Thank you. After seeing your portfolios, I think I have to get out more. You have so many interesting photos and subject material.Even had to play with one of your Haunted Houses. Thanks again, and I'll revisit your site, again and again. Regards. Doug.

Hey there Darlin'! It was wonderful wandering through your portfolio! You seem like my kind of people. I was thinking of doing a series on doors & windows and you showed me there are many interesting shots that can be "found in my own backyard" by the looks of it. We tend to shoot a lot of the same things and that makes me smile. ( I believe this was my hello!)

Jim Craig , April 24, 2007; 12:30 P.M.

TONY

first off, thanks for the suggestion on the Searchlight Mine shot ( I answered there) #2 you have one great folio working here. I really like the old cars and your covered bridge shots really took me home. Curious as to where you shot them. I have actually shot 18 covered bridges for some of my paintings.(Ashtabula County, Oh.) Now I live in the Great American Desert where there are no covered bridges. Thanks again for your input and am coming back to check out your latest additions...RAY

TONY!

I opened up your portfolio and the first thing I see is the Neptune statue from back home. The saran wrapped palm trees really brought me back too. I'm so glad that I stopped by.. I got all nostalgic looking at your Norfolk skylines too. I was born there, grew up in Va. Beach. Too awesome.

Janie Barber , December 14, 2007; 12:24 P.M.

Tony,

thanks for your comment on my photograph,Cottonfield House. I was beginning to wonder who all was still on PN. I checked your portfolio out again and you really have some good work. Of course, I love grave matters and the ghost house. Remember, I started the angel subject matter, and after you drive through so many places, there are not really too many unique ones around in this area. Sam and I are still shooting and taking our road trips whenever possible. I just recently got a new computer with the Vista program in October and my camera I received in June and about the time of the Vista program I began to have distorted photographs so I have sent my camera in to be checked. I feel it is actually this stupid program and maybe not compatible but still troubleshooting. Anyway Tony, thanks again, and want to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy, and successful New Year.
