Your photo's are excellent. I love your turtle photo's. Did you use a flash and if so, was it altered so as to not freak the turtles out. Some like to use red covered lenses or whatever they deem not too much for the turtles. This is also during egg laying season.

I also visited your portfolio to see who had given me a good rating on one of my pics. You cetainly do have an eye for lovely landscapes and a love of velvia and polarisers to create your own style. I am not much of a landscape fancier in photography because I feel in most cases that the camera only gives a poor imitation of what you actually see, (just my opinion of course). These well composed and vibrant images of yours assume a surreal aspect due to the intense saturation. and add more to the scene than the eye sees. Great work.

Your vibrant landscapes and nature photographs are 'picture' perfect, something I could do well to emulate, as I struggle to take a 'normal' photograph, and there you are with not only 'normal' photographs by the bushelful, but exceptional photo after superlative photo, all perfect for showing the wonders of the Islands to the tourists and collectors who apparently are your market. I always wondered who took those 'perfect' photo one often sees in galleries and on postcards, and now I know.

I can now say I have had a 'close encounter' with a 'perfect' photographer.

Too bad it won't rub off on me ;-(

You are without a doubt one of the best photographers I've seen on this site. Your images are mind-boggling to me! Do you do a lot of post-processing on your shots? I've been trying to figure out what sets the photos of people like yourself apart from mine and I'm not sure how much is my lack of skill/eye vs. post-processing (which I know absolutely nothing about and assume is especially important for colorful shots like I shoot). Lastly, are you related to Scott Tylor? I had communicated back and forth on this site with him a few months back and then he has kind of vanished. I saw your name and that you were from Hawaii and figured there very well may be some connection--his images are very much like yours, especially in regards to colors and clarity (How do you guys do that?!?!) Anyway, thanks for stopping by and thanks for sharing--I have learned a tremendous amount about photography by merely viewing your work!
