Nice album

and I like Eva.

I enjoyed your portraits very much. They are full of life, very natural and "honest". I also liked the fact that you were using in almost all of your shots natural light. Another difficult issue when making a portrait is to be able to create and to make use of a certain "invisible" communication frequency with the model in order to get as a result a feeling of intimacy .It seems to me that you succeded! my regards, adrian

O_O

First off i'd like to say that your photos are nice, I think they lack depth, but they are still nice. In reply to your comment on "Greg Golds" portfolio, I'd like to say, arn't we welcome to leave comments anytime we like, and as for an "abuser", I only left a comment on his TWO photos of weman in bondage gear as being pornographic, and rightfully so I think. I only left the mean comments on his portfolio when he left bad ratings and comments on my photos only becuse I left the one comment. I didn't mean for you to mis understand. And I think that art con't have bondage gear, whips and chains,, ect. Have a look http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=2247844 http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=2266546 I also say that nudes are about body form, and not about a woman being naked, thus why most nudes are done with shdows. -Thank you for your time.

Many good ones here, David. Portaiture seems to be your specialty. You have a knack for putting your subjects at ease that really shines through.

David, I really enjoyed looking at your Portfolio. Some wonderful images here. It is clear that your models are very relaxed with you. I also admire your dedication to trying new ideas, settings, poses etc. and taking on board what others are suggesting for improvements - though quite rightly not always :-) Best regards for your future picture taking. I will look on with interest.

...

I think your portfolio deserves several stops, and therefore a comment ... ;-)
I admire your ability to capture the mood of your models. You must have some kinda super-powers to set them at ease like this.

Daniela Reis , November 06, 2004; 06:09 P.M.

Thank you for your comment and encouragement which is very important for me at this moment. It is always pleasure to hear your comments. Congratulations on your work :)

Denis Dobardzic , December 27, 2004; 09:38 A.M.

nice portfolio, but i have to agree with someone above that the pictures, even technically nice, missing something which will make me to keep my eye on it. with those, i just look at therm and move one, without having any kind of impression for any of them. but it comes with time when you bild your modus operandy. keep with good work.

David Vorland , December 30, 2004; 01:29 A.M.

Denis,

Thank you for your observation ... I have recently concluded that I have posted too many images. The shere volume may explain in part your reaction. The individual you quoted was angry with me for siding with someone he was attacking for posting what he believed to be "pornography." I didn't take his criticism seriously, since his own portfolio was pedestrian at best. Your photographs, on the other hand, are quite good, and I appreciate your taking the time to encourage me in my development as a photographer. I am quite sure, however, that you understand that your luke warm response to my photographs has more to do with your own personal taste than it has to do with the quality of my work.

David...

It's funny how I've been meaning to comment on your work as a whole here, but never seemed to get around to it. Apologies for that, but I also sometimes find it hard to comment on a whole body of work at one time.

Many of your images are among my favorites and I enjoy looking at them time and again. "Louvre Dog" comes to mind right off the bat. There is something about that image that draws me to it again and again. Also your image of Teri, and the image you have titled "La Jouissance."

As I think someone else said on here, you do have a talent (for lack of a better word) for portraiture. Even some of your street photographs can be seen as portraiture by those who know how to look beyond the strict definition of the portraiture genre, and it does have something of a signature look for you.

So best wishes to you for the coming year. I wish you continuing success with your photography, and will look forward to seeing new work from you.

Best Regards - Jim

Thanks for the comment...

on a shot I did of a woman in the dark. I think you were the only one who rated the picture on the shot, not the woman's attractiveness/youthfulness. I appreciate that. I was pretty pleased to get the shot using tricks I've learned from other photogs. I looked through your portfolio and wish I'd come sooner. I greatly enjoyed your work. I enjoy people, so my favorites are your portraits, most particularly the beautiful ladies. I love doing portrait work, I like talking to my 'sitters' while I shoot. I learn so much and we have a good time. Again, thanks. I will be back again.

Excellent Portifolio

David, your portifolio is excellent, replete of excellent photos. I enjoyed very much all your portraits. The models are also beautiful. Congrats. Thanks for your comments on one of my photos (Auckland Tower). I lived in Christchurch in 2003 for six months and I had the opportunity to visit Auckland several times. New Zealand is a paradise for a photographer. I have some beautiful photos from NZ.

Hello Friend!

Well here it is another year is passing away and we are coming into the holidays. I think time starts to go faster as we get older, it was just yesterday I wished my friends Happy Holidays and here it is again the end of a year. The holiday lights are starting to be put on some of the trees here in Dallas, we were out last night and some were lighting the trees. I wish for you all a holiday season with family and friends, after all is said and done all we have is each other.

I want all of you to know just what your comments and ratings on my work means to me, your words are my motivation, my drive to discover, to learn this art that we all love, thank you for taking time and thank you for caring about my works. At the same time thank you for letting us see your world, our lives are so much the same, we all care about our families and friends and we all share the same things, maybe someday our photos will help make for a lasting world peace. May you and your family be blessed this season.

Happy Holidays and Happy Shooting

Ken

Very nice portfolio, I liked the Paris folder in particular... Good work! Congrats!

Linda Osborne , August 17, 2008; 11:46 P.M.

Well, I was looking at people that were the most intresting and thought to myself, what about the great photographers that are at the bottom of the list. So Your name was the last on the list. I just want you to know, I thought your profile was alot better the the most intresting and popular one. Oh, it must be because he shot nudes. Well, I love your profile and want to welcome you back to photography. Linda
