Boldly beautiful

I saw the photo 'Enigma' and it stopped me in my trax what a wonderful image of boldness countered by a quiet subtilety of the tactile qualities of the foliage and wall. Your works cause one to look twice and that is always a good thing as it teases the imagination of the viewer, I'm happy to have seen this work, thanx...sam

Hi Adal... My name is Tiago and I would like to congratulate you for your great work. It's a pleasure to see the way you see the world around you. I like the minimalism represented in your galleries, and the textures are amazing. Very good work, great colors, great composition... Great eye... Congrats Tiago Gracio PS: I'm trying to comment and vote your photos in pbase, but occurs an error.

Hello Friend!

Well here it is another year is passing away and we are coming into the holidays. I think time starts to go faster as we get older, it was just yesterday I wished my friends Happy Holidays and here it is again the end of a year. The holiday lights are starting to be put on some of the trees here in Dallas, we were out last night and some were lighting the trees. I wish for you all a holiday season with family and friends, after all is said and done all we have is each other.

I want all of you to know just what your comments and ratings on my work means to me, your words are my motivation, my drive to discover, to learn this art that we all love, thank you for taking time and thank you for caring about my works. At the same time thank you for letting us see your world, our lives are so much the same, we all care about our families and friends and we all share the same things, maybe someday our photos will help make for a lasting world peace. May you and your family be blessed this season.

Happy Holidays and Happy Shooting

What an honor it was to have you stop by to view my recent post, "Earth Warriors." Thank you for your comments and ratings which led me to your very professional PN portfolio and personal website. You are one of the reasons why PN continues to attract beginning, amateur photographers as myself. Your photos inspire us to try to see the world through different perspectives. After going through all of your photos, I couldn't decide on a favorite; they are all wonderful. So, I decided to add you to my "favorites" list so that I can return often to be inspired. If I had to chose a favorite folder, I think that it would probably be the sculpture-inspired ones on both your websites. I too was born in 1944 but didn't try photography seriously until two years ago. Thanks for being an inspiration to all of us on PN. Blessings from the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia of USA, Rebekah B.

Photos of Calcata, Italy

Finding your photos in this gallery where you were standing in a dark corner, hallway or street to capture a lighted doorway, window or vista has always been my favorite. Many photos in this series of Calcata are amazing! I have been there several times when living in Roma back in 1984-86... One day I was drinking coffee while sitting at the cafe just outside the main arched Gate at the entrance to the city ( while no one was around) and a 7 or 8 year old boy, dressed in (toy plastic) Roman Armor came marching through the gate holding his sword to his chest. He stopped right in front of me and said something in Italian (which had to be a local dialect) then did an about face and marched back through the gate... It was a classic moment... and your photos brought the times I spent in the city rooming through the streets of Calcata back to be in Technicolor!

By the way, when your return you should get a shot of the front gate and also the stone cliffs outside the town which had (I believe) burial caves like in the catacombs...

I would like to know how you were able to pull such beautiful contrast of colors from your shots –

Marco Vergano , November 02, 2008; 07:54 A.M.

your poftfolio has plenty of inspiring photos, it deserves attention and more than one single visit to be appreciated. You master colors and crontrasts in every single shot, I love your architectural views and your clean abstracts. Davvero un bella scoperta! A presto, Marco

Excellent and original portfolio. You have a good eye to discover beautiful forms there where a lot of people don't see nothing. Sincere congrats.

I had a stoke in feb 2007. At the moment I have no voice so cannot speak and as I only have use of one arm, writing is slow and difficult for me. :---)
