I thought.... So, get it over with..;-)... Yes I am a dutch girl! I understand that when you aren't a subsciber that you can post only 5 photo's? But it's a little vague to me. So please inform me...

I was impressed by the photo you posted for critique today and had to see the rest of your gallery. I was not disappointed. You have a wonderful eye for lighting, drama, and suspense. I love the dark, rich poetry in the stories you tell on film. Please keep shooting and posting. And, by the way... The limit on photos for nonmembers is five INITIALLY, but you can earn more space by posting your photos for critique. I am also a nonmember, and I am up to seventy photos. And, although I am not positive about this, it seems to me that you can also earn more space in your gallery by rating and critiquing other people's work. At least, it always seems that I get more space when I do that. Hope this helps, and good luck!

Wat goed van je:) En de foto's die je geplaatst hebt zijn echt fantastisch maar dat wist je al:) Hoop dat je erg veel leuke reacties krijgt want dat verdien je echt. Ik begrijp ook nog niet alles hier dus we moeten maar proberen als twee dolende in het donker de weg te zoeken naar het licht:))

Ik zie hier even een portfolio waar ik het me toch warm van krijg pffff..... Fantastisch!!! We hebben dezelfde camera maar daar blijft het dan ook bij. Wat jij tot nu toe van je werk hebt laten zien vind ik een openbaring. Zo zou ik ook willen fotograferen, maar helaas... Ik hoop nog veel van je prachtige en originele werk te gaan zien in de toekomst. Wil je meer foto's in een keer kunnen plaatsen dan kun je voor een relatief klein bedrag (iets van 22 euro per jaar) al betalend lid worden en dat heeft enorm veel voordelen, vooral voor iemand van jouw kaliber!

Klopt Jim.... Ik ben nog niet zo lang op Zoom. Was een lange tijd geen lid en moest heeeeel lang wachten op het lidmaatschap, haha. Nu vind ik het wel okay. Ik merk dat elke site zijn voors en tegens heeft. Hier is het zoooo gigantisch, er zijn zoveel uploads dat ik nog geen vriendenclubjes heb kunnen ontdekken. Het gaat hier vrij relaxed. Ook al snap ik niets van alle anonieme stemmers die alleen maar 2-en en 3-en uitdelen... :-).... Hoort erbij geloof ik. Ontzettend veel succes!!

Yours is a rare portfolio on Photo.net, and whether you are a beginner or more fully-formed as an artist, your talent shows through. Photography definitely is your calling, and you have a unique vision -- fine art.

If you were to cull your portfolio just to those that were 'highest-rated' it would easily be capable of be capable of being a 'featured portfolio' -- a very high accomplishment for a Photo.net photographer, and if you decide to seek that status, let me know and I'll try to 'nominate' your portfolio for that distinction (there is no 'formal' apparatus that is known for achieving such distinction -- it appears to be a 'decision' of management, but if one is to look at your 'highest-rated' photos only, it surely qualifies, but the whole folder would need some culling before it would qualify, I think.)

In any case, your work is a show-stopper, culled or not, and if you truly are a beginner as above comments suggest, you have an amazing natural talent that surely must be developed.

I'm envious (though not jealous).

Your portfolio is surely unique and if you only started in 2005 you have clearly found your media.

The suggestion of John to limit your portfolio to the best, is always a good advice, but it leaves me wondering what could be deleted. Even those few photos that have received the lower marks are still extremely personal and expressive. I would leave them all and hope that you continue to share. Many of us have, as photographers, a lot to learn from you.

I will confess to extreme envy of the fact that you have been doing photography for such a short time, and are so adept at it. You are a natural. I especially found your portraits and your industrials to be most excellent, however, I would be hardpressed to find fault with very many of your photos. This is one very high quality portfolio. please even if the best and most important persons tell you that you should take away some photographs to make your portfolio more strong think twice before doing it maybe a photograph to one person means less than to the next person i personally think that you are the artist and you should stay in control of what YOU want to show or ot show and even if this medium is new to you it does not make any difference your work is exellent and you do not have to be a 50 year old photographer to be good

I do not believe that you just started photography. If you did, you must either have had experience in graphic arts, painting or some visual arts or you were Da Vinci in your past life and reincarnated in female form. i looked at your portfolio and it's written professional all over it. i have been following you since i have seen your "pilgrimage". all i want to ask is how that excellent POST-SHOT work could be done?and do you use any non-digital (non-PS work) method (like emil schildt)?... best regards

by "non-digital effects" i meant that "some chemical intentional deformations* on film or on printed photo paper" .because your works (especially pilgrimage etc.) seem so original that none of digital filters could give same effects.emil schildt 's works has very original effects too, which are not digital at all.

PS. my older portfolio was ( www.photo.net/photos/selimaksan ). just decided to renew it.)

What an amazing display of talent and creativity! Your photography is excellent, and your post-production work is just as outstanding. You do know how to blend the two techniques, which is something a lot of us struggle with.
