After getting tired of looking at so called street photography which shows nothing but trite snap shots with absolutely no significance in its contents, your portfolio is like a cool breeze in mid-summer. Also, Your images and your captions go well side by side, making clear statements altogether. Technically, your photos are excellent especially in B&W. I really enjoyed your portfolio. You have a style. Please keep it....Toshio

You have a beautiful and consistent portfolio. I think you are a real master in proper street photos. Very inspiring. Not an enough appreciated genre under PN unfortunately in my opinion. I do appreciate alot myself, so I am glad I found your portfolio. I will stop by often. Many thanks for sharing. Congratulations.

Juan,
the madrid shots in particular are very together, well done.
i like the cigarette theme in a lot of these shots, not something often noticed.
nice change of pace from cellphones and backpacks...
...most of all though you have a very definite focus. the fall off before and beyond the subject is perfect again and again.
i'm killing to know what aperture you like using. it works.

You have a really fine portfolio. I went through quickly. I saw most with no problem as we talked. On 'underlove' there is a strong dark band under her hairline across the forehead covers almost half of the forehead. That would be a place where the hair cast a shadow and the camera sensors took an abrupt change in tone or shade instead of a gradual pretty change. Others I did not see problems. On 'none' there is a browish streak on the blondes left side along the hairline. this is easy to fix and also I thik 'underlove is not hard to fix. Just takes some work and patience. And them you have two beautifl portraits. Just figure what I think is that even 40 mega pixels still is not the number or density of silver halide molecules on bw film which has so many molecular pixels the transition from light to shadow is gradual. This is what I think. Digital will solve it probably with software until they get to gigapixels.

if you don't want critiques, don't post in a public forum. just the same, if you have a problem with my critique, send me a direct email, and don't litter my comment page with your aversion to my critique. i "didn't" ask for that! and that is not what that page is for anyway.
to have your comment blocked makes it look like i was doing what you are doing.
thank you to attend my request....
