Thank you for your recent rating of my photo. Great portfolio. Particularly the Diyarbakir ruins. Interesting bio. I'm a Hoja (Mulla) Nasrudin fan myself. Believe he is buried in Konya, with only a locked door and no walls for a tomb.

TARİH ve mimari değerler bakımından Lefkoşa’daki Türk eserlerinin başında Büyük Han gelmektedir. 1572 yılında adanın ilk Osmanlı Valisi Beylerbeyi Muzaffer Paşa tarafından yaptırıldığı kabul edilmektedir. Yapı dörtgen bir plan üzerine, iki katlı inşa edilmiş olup, geniş bir avlunun çevresinde sıralanan odalar kemerli ve kubbeli bir sundurmaya açılmaktadır. Büyük Han’ın çeşitli yapılardan ve yerlerden alınmış taşlardan yapıldığı bellidir. Aynı şekilde avlunun ortasındaki mermer sütunlar üzerine yapılmış mescidi tutan sütunların da başka bir yapıdan alınmış olunması muhtemeldir. Altı köşeli, konik başlıklı taş bacalarla, bu kubbeli küçük mescit, Hanın Türk tarzı mimarisini tamamlayan önemli unsurlardır. Hanın zemin katındaki odalar dükkan, depo ve ofis olarak kullanılmıştır. Üst kattaki sekizgen bacalı birer şömineleri olan odalar ise yatak odalarıdır. Anadolu’da sık rastlanan benzerleri gibi olmasına rağmen, bir farklılığı da mevcuttur. Bu tip han ve kervansaraylar genellikle tek bir ana kapıya sahip olmalarına rağmen, Büyük Han’ın bir girişi daha bulunmaktadır.

Inşallah yanlış anlaşılmadım. Benim için de aynı duygular geçerli. Yani ben de insanlar arasında ayrımı sevmem ve yapanlardan nefret ederim.. Hele sanatçı ruhlu bir kişiliğe hiç yakışmaz.. Sadece kadının yüzü ve başörtüsü dikkatimi çektiği için sordum.. Fotoğrafın ilk anda bana Diyarbakır'dan çekilmiş gibi bir etki yarattı. Hatta yabancı dostlardan birinin yorumunda "Anadolu" diye geçiyor..

Fotoğrafları okurken ben kişi olarak estetik ve orjinallik özelliklerinin yanısıra tarihi ve kültürel yönden de okumaya çalışıyorum ve bu şekilde bilmediklerimi öğrenmeye çalışıyorum..

Diyarbakır'dan da Kıbrıs'a selamlar, sevgiler...

I personally welcome this long overdue decision from the Austrian government. It is a great success for the Ilisu Dam Campaign. However, development has to watched very carefully to make sure that there are no underhand compromises made at the last minute. Keep on going!
