Dear Dana

Thank you so much for letting me know you, and for placing a large image in my portfolio. That was a tremendous help to convert into a Black and white. Here is how the task is. I have used a red filter in CS3 to filter out some greyscale-base image. Hope you like it.

Thank you for the comments. Very nice gallery!

John Galyon , June 02, 2007; 09:08 P.M.

Dana, thank you so very much for your kind words... It is truly refreshing and encouraging to find someone as yourself who simply loves taking and viewing photographs. Unfortunately I all too often run into people who have gotten away from their "first love" of the craft and it's obvious that it is now only a job, a technical exercise...anything but a passion. One request: post lots more of your work? Talk to me about your aspirations, your interests, your fun experiences taking photos? best regards, John

Hi Dana!

Sorry it took me so long to get by here but my little browse through your folio has restored some peace in my soul tonight. It was just what the doctor ordered. Your images are real and full of life. I like that. You've been very generous with your time these days, stopping by to leave nice comments. I hope to see more of your stuff - hope you don't mind the honest critique and opinions. And once again, take this as warning, the Idious Moronici are a strange bunch - my husband is King of them all and their "inside man". War can break out on one of your photos at any given time. See ya 'round!

DANA NIMEY , July 08, 2007; 09:26 P.M.

Jan, thank you for the visit. I always like to hear an honest critique,so thank you so much for them. and thanks for the "warning", bring it on baby!

Thansk for stopping by

Dana,

Thanks for taking a look at my photo "blue flower" on July 9th. Your attention and comment are appreciated.

I like the work in your portfolio. Some of the shots are of familiar places. From one upstate (central) NYer to another.

Good luck

Hey Dana, didn't mean to scare you with the spider. I had a HUGE fear of them when I was a child. I guess in the back of my mind I still am. I figured I'd post here seeing as how you probably won't revisit the source of the problem. anyway I appriciate you stopping by. take care, J.K.

DANA NIMEY , August 10, 2007; 10:25 P.M.

Thanks J.K., only had a couple nightmares!

YUP you bet your "bippy" its a spider web....and the owner was home when I took the shot. If you are feeling froggy take a peek "larger" and you might even see the little bugger hiding out amongst the "pointy" things...

Thanks for stopping by...hope you don't have nightmares now.

A rich, varied, and incredibly eclectic collection of images, Dana. I have thoroughly enjoyed rolling through these images and appreciating each of them. Took your suggestion and converted the "belay & hemp rope" Picture to B&W. I like it, but you are a better judge of B&W stuff than I. Tell me what you think please.

Well I had to give it a try anyway for the sake of comparison. I did like the "catch-light" in the wood. But one never knows what something will look like until they try it right? Anyway, thanks again for taking the time to look at my work. I am anxiously awaiting the next pics from you.

Ta Ta for now.

Hi Dana....Thanks for your comments. In regard to the Adirondacks I was born in Ticonderoga, went to school in Port Henry, and visit every few years.Last time I was there my wife and I hiked Huricane Mtn. near Elizabethtown. you can't throw a stone up there without hitting a Denton.I left in 1975 when I was 16. Where are you?

Michael McCloud , October 14, 2007; 09:16 A.M.

Dana

You have a very nice portfolio here. It also shows your experimental and creative side. Its always so nice to discover a photograper I've not viewed before and in your case, a very nice find. You have a natural eye for seeing the image. Keep up the good work and look forward to return visits. My best, Michael

Dana

Hi,

That shot was taken somewhere over the east coast, on the way between Washington DC and Albany, on the way home from Virginia last month. I don't have any idea exactly what mountain range it was. There were very few clouds on the way home, so I had the chance to shoot a few pics. I have a few more of a river valley that was fogged in, that was pretty interesting.

Thanks for stopping by
