Sunsets

Some great sunsets - good portfolio!

George Bruckner , January 22, 2006; 12:02 A.M.

You have some nice pictures in your portfolio, and thank you for your comments on my eagle image. Answer to your question as to what lens I use in capturing images of the eagles, it is 500mm with an extender.

Elisabeth Jordan , January 23, 2006; 12:05 A.M.

Thanks for the info about the lens (and for the comment on my portfolio). Its my next investment to get a longer zoom like yours. So for now I must settle for 300mm. Looking forward to more of your eagles! Elisabeth

Rob Wray , January 30, 2006; 07:34 P.M.

Hi Elisabeth,

Wow..Amazing Sunset photos.

Elisabeth Jordan , February 03, 2006; 08:23 P.M.

Thanks Rob and Megan for stopping by. Sunsets are my inner passion. Drives my husband crazy that if we are out near the ocean and its sunset time, I make him stop so I can take pictures - hundreds upon hundreds of sunsets. But I love it and that's all that matters! Right? :) elisabeth

Daniel Hansen , February 27, 2006; 09:20 P.M.

Your portfolio is quickly growing! You have so many great shots. I'm maybe a little biased towards the subject matter, but I especially like your planes and auto sections. You also have some great sunsets and classic beach shots.

J Michael , February 28, 2006; 07:57 P.M.

Nice Variety In Your Portfolio

I like your variety of shots. I am lucky enough to live part time on the west coast myself...well, the west coast of michigan that is! Nonetheless, lake michigan provides a great opportunity for sunsets as well, so I enjoyed seeing the sun set from your perspective. Nicely done overall!

Joan Newhall , March 11, 2006; 09:13 A.M.

Elisabeth,

Thanks for checking out some of my photos. I just finished browsing through your complete portfolio. I just acquired DSL which makes it so much easier to enjoy a complete portfolio. I don't have photoshop but use my camera program to correct horrizons or do a bit of framing. Point and shoot and that's what you get is my theory too... Great portfolio.

Lawrence Lopez , April 01, 2006; 12:33 P.M.

Great portefolio you have here. Especially your birds, cars, sunsets, and flowers, but even the rest of it is very good. Thanks for taking you time to rate and comment my picture. It isn?t a digital alteration. We have a lot of those things around here. That one was from a place called "Marmorslottet". Marmor Castle. Regards!

Hey there. Thanks for your comments. Photography has bitten me about a year ago. I am totally hooked and cannot wait to get my camera in. I just ordered a Nikon D200 With two extra digital lenses with equipment. I only have a point and shoot camera right now and I have only been able to capture things with what I had. I am about to take a NYI digital photography course also within this year and cannot wait to learn all the tricks with photoshop. I am very excited and cant wait to capture whats out there. Keep in touch with me and I can learn from people like you. Thanks again, JIMMY CANNON

Pat Metheny!

Hey Elisabeth, Don't ask why it took me 8 months to reply to a comment you left on my Pat Metheny shot - but I swear, I *just* saw it! I tried to get your email address to thank you but Hotmail's out to lunch... Anyhoo first may I say you have an amazing portfolio - love those sunsets! You'd asked how I got the PM shot... Kind of funny story. I wasn't *supposed* to have a camera in the venue but they let me in if I promised not to take pictures. Well... I couldn't stand it. *But* I had a 70-200mm zoom on a BIG (1DsMII) camera and the guy who told me not to take photos was sitting right behind me! So I just covered the LCD with my coat and snapped blindly with the camera sitting in my lap. 99 percent of the shots were pieces of lighting rigs, someone's head, the ceiling, etc. But I did get *two* decent shots of the band and that was one. I also wasn't thrown out and got to see the whole show! Pat's my man! ;-) Once again, great job on your photography and my apologies for the very belated reply! Best wishes . . .

Leonardo Villalobos , November 06, 2006; 11:58 P.M.

vivid pictures amazing portfolio, Best Wishes!

Hello Friend!

Well here it is another year is passing away and we are coming into the holidays. I think time starts to go faster as we get older, it was just yesterday I wished my friends Happy Holidays and here it is again the end of a year. The holiday lights are starting to be put on some of the trees here in Dallas, we were out last night and some were lighting the trees. I wish for you all a holiday season with family and friends, after all is said and done all we have is each other.

I want all of you to know just what your comments and ratings on my work means to me, your words are my motivation, my drive to discover, to learn this art that we all love, thank you for taking time and thank you for caring about my works. At the same time thank you for letting us see your world, our lives are so much the same, we all care about our families and friends and we all share the same things, maybe someday our photos will help make for a lasting world peace. May you and your family be blessed this season.

Happy Holidays and Happy Shooting

Ken

Rainbow comments

Hi Elizabeth,

My two main cameras for shooting up here in Yellowstone are a Canon 20D with a 55-250mm Canon IS lens or (at the time of the photo) a cheap little Sony CyberShot with Carl Zeiss lens. This photo was probably taken with the latter.

Love your portfolio. From looking at it, I have a LONG way to go. Best regards, jane newhall

thanks

First of all I want to thank your for your comment about Larry Carlton portrait. He is really a great musician but a very friendly person so to make intresting and unusual portrait of hi is quite simply. About your portfolio I have to say I'm realy impressed by the spontaneity of the subjects and the cleanliness of the shots. Your work is a confirmation that the simplicity and cleanliness may be much more expressive than any other style. Congratulation !!! Realy great portfolio.

P.S. Prof .... sorry for my bad english Andrea
