A very original and well done portfolio. Your landscapes and shape shots are my favorite of your portfolio but also have some very good other images. You have excellent composition and an artistic feel to your photos. These are more than well composed shots, these are pieces of art, each deserving a spot on a blank wall somewhere.

You have so many beautiful shots in your body of work Fernand... I especially like sone of your work with landscapes as well as some of your work in Venice. Your composition style and photographic eye are very refreshing as well as your use of light and command of atmosphere to tell a story and evoke a mood. Very well done!

Very artistic and painterly portfolio. From the imagery you have created I suspect you have an artists training (painting perhaps)? At least without having glanced at your bio. Very much a departure from the usual approach to making pictorial style images. I like your approach to the craft very much and derive a lot of pleasure from your very creative approach to image making with a camera. Lovely work.

Thanks for your constructive comment on my Palau de les Arts 2. I think your suggestion is a good one. I was so pleased by the colours and the mood of the evening sun, that I didn't go futher. I am going to work on a B/W version and will come back with it. That's the real interest of a fotocommunity: exchange opinions and make suggestions. I have seen that you post also on Photopoints. How does it compare with Photonet in terms of feedback, comments, etc...?

I dropped by to take a look after finding your generous comment on my portfolio. I am so very glad that I did! Your work has a wonderful feel to it and I get a strong sense of intent as well as poetry. I agree with your assessment that you and I have some things in common and I too am glad to have found you. I will keep in touch and leave some comments, as I attempt to work my way through your rich and diverse portfolio.

I'm very glad I followed Gordon's footsteps and discovered your fine portfolio, that may be inspiration later. I have to come back with comments later. Keep up your good work!

EDIT: Somehow some of your work reminds me the photo book of Olivier Dassault, "Oniropolis" (1977), which I bought among the very first photo books sometimes in late 70s.
