Florian, talk about diverse and inspiring work. There seems no limits to your playing field. I of course love the strong graphic captures in your color and shape folder but your entire body of work is impressive.
I have to tell you I was blown away with your kind remarks. I am flattered and surprised. Big thanks and continued success.

Sehen ...
Keine Ahnung was noch aus Deinem Studium wird, aber bei der Fotografie solltest du auf jeden Fall weitermachen :-))) mlG wolfgang ---- Maybe a beginner in camera-handling and digital darkroom work, but defintely not in the art of seeing. Very impressive portfolio with lots of interesting pics. They show as well your sense for developping new things and for experitmenting. i don't know whats going on with your studies, but i'd like to recommend that you stay with photography :-))) regards wolfgang

I found your story amusing. In my last year of law school, I took out a loan to study for the bar exam. Instead, I bought a large format camera and didn't take the course. I had to repeat the bar exam, but I'm happier today because of that decision. The love for photography that comes across from your photographs is refreshing. You accomplish so much with so little because you have an appreciation of how to use simple elements to compose extraordinay images--a sponge, a towel, bits and pieces from everyday life. Bravo, bravo!! Emmanuel.

Thank you for your constructive and encouraging words, they mean a lot to me! Yes, I deleted the most of my shots because I simply wasn`t satisfied with them anymore. You seem to understand it well:) But actually I`m also very fustrated because my possibilities to take GOOD shots are quite limited. I have a small digital camera, computer..and that`s it. I don`t even have a proper program to process the pictures. And, as an unproffesional amateur, I definitely don`t have any studio or models..or even time to shoot carefully. I feel that I have countless ideas but no possibilities to carry them out. So that`s probably one of the reasons that made me delete so many of my shots:) But it`s encouraging to hear that I`m not the only one. Thanks again!

What a miscellania of work you have!! I like several of your photographs but I would emphasize the one u called (the guys were to busy....) shot in BCN. probably is not the best, but It has this mix of irony and composition that make it funny. specially for someone from BCN like me. I awoke this moring to several comments from you, and, being unfamiliar with who you are, my curiosity lead me to your portfolio. Hello Friend!
Well here it is another year is passing away and we are coming into the holidays. I think time starts to go faster as we get older, it was just yesterday I wished my friends Happy Holidays and here it is again the end of a year. The holiday lights are starting to be put on some of the trees here in Dallas, we were out last night and some were lighting the trees. I wish for you all a holiday season with family and friends, after all is said and done all we have is each other.
I want all of you to know just what your comments and ratings on my work means to me, your words are my motivation, my drive to discover, to learn this art that we all love, thank you for taking time and thank you for caring about my works. At the same time thank you for letting us see your world, our lives are so much the same, we all care about our families and friends and we all share the same things, maybe someday our photos will help make for a lasting world peace. May you and your family be blessed this season.
Happy Holidays and Happy Shooting

Thank you for your kind comments on my beach photos, such as "guard of honour". I had a look at your version of that motive and like it a lot.
In fact, your entire portfolio is excellent. You combine good compositional skills with intuition and empathy to produce creative, unconventional and artistic travel and street photography. The images almost always highlight or have a connection to social and cultural aspects, show the extraordinary in the ordinary, and are simple but have great impact. These are some of the things I believe photography (and art in general, for that matter) should do. Together with your website and blog it seems to me you are bit of a modern anthropologist. Very interesting work!

Traveller, that hits the spot. In the sense of traveling to experience and learn; 'lost in travelation' is my motto (yes, it is a pun on the film title). Rare are also those that can 'sense' (i.e. put themselves inside) other people and situations as you do, and who understand how important this ability is. Terms like 'compositional, technical and whatever skills' are certainly used rather inflationary, not least in this forum.

I wanted to say how much I have enjoyed looking through your your photos and partaking in your imaginative and eclectic vision. While I shall always love the classic landscapes I have been working on as of late, your work inspires me to observe the world around me all the more closely, to take images that express my response to those more mundane, daily surrounds, and to share them with the world. Thanks!
