I like your portfolio Ian. Thank you for looking at one of my photos (Old Habbit) and reviewing it.
I fully agree with you. I have the photo for quite some time now but I never even thought about the disproportionaled arm.
It shows I still have a lot to learn. But there is nothing more fun then learning photography! Thank you very much for your comment.

You have not only transmitted us northern light, but brought us to northern environment with your photos. I can feel cold wind in swampy lake in the middle of forest, smell the marsh tea of summer, hear that silence, or rush of rapids... Thank You, this is some experience. Take care, a s l a

Hi Ian-Thanks for your critique of my island image. WOW you must have good eyes. Had to use the large view to spot the flaw. Enjoyed your portfolio, have the impression you are an avid outdoors person. A lot of your images have a certain rawness to them which I really admire. Regards -Ross

Dear Ian, thank you for stopping on one of my pictures, allowing me to visit your gallery where I can find a lot of great pictures, and some others I like but I consider "unluckly" undervaluated as views and ratings.
I've appreciated you've signed your "3" rating it's something not usual in this world of anonymous raters. I hope to see more of your work! -Fabio-

These pictures of Russia are great. The most beautiful & remote places on Earth are usually the most unforgiving & you've documented that well with these photos.
It takes tough people to live there too. A few years ago there was a spread in Nat'l Geographic about Siberia. A man shot a duck over the water & his dog felt the water too cold to retrieve it, so the hunter took his clothes off & went in for it. These are all great photos Ian & I come here pretty often.

Ian, your pictures are awesome!. That is north of Russia right?, I would like to go there someday, thank you for helping me with the kodak BW400CN film. Kind Regards
ian green , June 16, 2007; 05:49 A.M.

good i was of any help ;)
400CN is a good film for walk around shooting
the photographed territory is mostly west north of Russia

similiar scenery can be found in Finland and Norway outside of Russia but be aware of quite different climate ;)

Hello Ian, It's not marble, it's ceramic stiles... It is the floor of my house's balcony. The leave came from a Japanese Acer that is close in the garden. I apreciate your comment and I must say that I really like your pictures, I hope I could take some like yours in the future. Regards!
Ps. By the Way, have you seen pictures of the south of Chile?, In some parts it can be similar to the ones I see in your pictures.

Wonderful, thoughtful pictures; your quiet scenes of the north tell of a beautiful but unforgiving land, in a loving way. Thank you for sharing these!

Larry - Bird
Hi Ian,
I don't know if you're the same Ian but if you are I want you to know that I still have Larry (the Red Lord Parrot). He's doing great. I've had him for a little over 20 years now. He's sitting here next to me and I thought of you. Anyway, if you want to know how he is then drop me an email. Since I get so much junk mail then put something in the subject line about "Larry the bird". ckterry@hotmail.com
Carolyn
PS Your pictures are beautiful!

Hi, How are you doing?, I wanted to ask you about how do you scan your pictures to upload them on the web page. Do you use a negative scanner? Or do you scan the prints?... I'm thinking on getting a negative scanner (a cheap one), it's an Epson Perfection V100 Photo... Have you tried or know anything about it?, Well, thanks for your time, great pictures by the way.
Regards
ian green , October 02, 2007; 11:31 A.M.
Felipe Martinez
you can email me directly via adress posted in main page
now i am using Minolta 5400 35mm film scanner
later used Microtek (horrible) and Epson (very cheap) dedicated film scanners
i have no experience in flatbed scanners but friends use some and try to switch to dedicated scanners as fast as possible

thank you everybody who took their time and typing to leave me critique or just simple chat along but i no longer shall post any photographs here as i am not at all interested in participating in current Photoshop battle of saturations and smart plug-ins
i really had some great time devouring data here and meeting some similiar minded people who helped me to think harder and try harder in my quest

Hello Friend!
Well here it is another year is passing away and we are coming into the holidays. I think time starts to go faster as we get older, it was just yesterday I wished my friends Happy Holidays and here it is again the end of a year. The holiday lights are starting to be put on some of the trees here in Dallas, we were out last night and some were lighting the trees. I wish for you all a holiday season with family and friends, after all is said and done all we have is each other.
I want all of you to know just what your comments and ratings on my work means to me, your words are my motivation, my drive to discover, to learn this art that we all love, thank you for taking time and thank you for caring about my works. At the same time thank you for letting us see your world, our lives are so much the same, we all care about our families and friends and we all share the same things, maybe someday our photos will help make for a lasting world peace. May you and your family be blessed this season.
Happy Holidays and Happy Shooting
Ken
