I would urge anyone interested in my photos to also take a look at Hugo's photos as he has been my inspiration in so many ways - even though we live and work in environments that couldn't be more different, the humanity and warmth of his photos is something that I always aspire to but rarely seem to succeed in delivering. Hugo seems to be able to deliver this in all his photos - even those with no people in them!

Hi Ian
Your kind note on my portfolio drew me to your biography before I explored your portfolio, so I was stunned by the apparent mismatch: these photos suggest very long experience! They show a great eye, dramatic compositions, and enviable skills. Goodness, I will return often as you (and your new Nikon!) explore the world.

Thanks
Hi,Ian
Thanks for your kindly critique and rating on my photo "who plays Ben's saxophone out there?". I look through your bio and portfolio. I like many of your photos especially the B/W ones. They are very beautiful and precision in grey scale. Besides I like one of your photo title "Aldeley Edge #1" very much. Best regards!

Your portfolio is so beautiful.
Simple, clear and linear: it's with pleasure and incredulity that I learned that I could be an inspiration for a great talent as you are. Thank you. G.

Ian, I just took some (but too little) time to wander through your portfolio. You're doing very fine work! I'll be back when I have time for a more leisurely study--and in hopes of finding some additions. Keep up the good work!

Inspiring!
As you would have expected, I did enjoy the "Le Metro, Paris" series very much!:-)
Through these images, you're capturing the "mood of the moment" as much as (if not more than) the place itself... and most of the blurry shots have been very effective in conveying a particular mood. IMO, you've succeeded to elevate the images high above the 'touristy snapshot of what one saw' level... this is what photography is about!
Keep experimenting my friend!
All the best,
Hugo
