Hi Jay. I see lots of exciting photos in your portfolio, including five that I love: three from Africa (afternoon sun, access road, and Victoria Falls), plus the Nantucket mill and the 4 am fishing boats on Cape Cod. We have a little more in common: I'm an EMT with our little rural volunteer EMS, and my daughter lives in Brooklyn, working for Financial Times in midtown Manhattan. Between doctoring and cycling, it's hard to imagine how you get to travel and photograph so much, though it sounds like your wife may have something to do with it ;-)

Jay

First, I wish to thank you for finding your way to my portfolio and leaving some lovely comments. Having cruised through your images a bit, I can see that you have some real successes, and I'm seeing a lot of potential. I'll comment a bit more on some of them as time allows. Welcome to Pnet. I hope you find it rewarding.

Thanks for your comments on my "Lone Tree" photo. I appreciate it. And it gave me a chance to view your work. Good stuff!! Best -- David

Well, you're just all over the map (literally, and figuratively). I always like a restless eye and roaming soul that's none the less driven by a distinct visual sensibility. Your attraction to bold shapes and contrasts serves you well, and it's interesting to see it play out on such diverse scales. It will be fun to swing on through as you keep shooting, which I sure hope you do.

Jay,

Your collection is growing and you have some really creative images here. I like your exploration of light, shadow and motion. It will be fun to watch this develop!

Have a relaxing Sunday!

Hi Jay,

I actually grew up in Marlboro. Close but not quite, although it's still a small world. Thanks for checking out my portfolio, I'll mark yours and follow you progress. You seem to show a wide range of interesting shots from the urban jungle theme to the more remote wildlife scenes. Keep shooting and cycling, both have been at some points in my life passions on the verge of obsessions. Cycling, not so much these days due to health issues but I hope to be back on the saddle in full force next summer. Until then I can enjoy my other passion/obsession here.

Hope to hear from you soon. Bob
