Hey, John, this is great! I am the first to comment on your work. Judging from what you've posted so far, you've got an eye for landscape. Impressive shots, each of them. I appreciate your comments about U.S. Highway 395; I need to check out other sections of it in Nevada, Oregon, and Washington. In fact, I am headed back up 395 this weekend to the White Mountains outside of Bishop, Calif. to try and get some sunrise/sunset shots of the bristlecone pines up there. Your landscape work has consistently been very inspirational to me since I found it earlier in summer of 2007. I want you to know that I am planning a photography adventure up in your neck of the woods this summer. Found your work by way of a comment you made on Mary Dineen's 'Idleness' photo. Your work is outstanding, and I just wanted to tell you that I'm off to bed now, but will be back soon. We will be attending a wedding in Portland, OR at the end of August, and we'll be doing some traveling and photography. Your Pacific NW stuff is impressive, and I'll no doubt gather a lot of great ideas from your work. Bravo!

Thanks, Christal. There's lots and lots to see here! If you're starting from Portland, you might try a trip east to Mt. Hood, over to the desert side, south to Redmond, and back over Highway 242, from Sisters. 242 is really worth a visit: the massive lava flow on the pass is truly jaw-dropping. Feel free to drop me a private email, if you want more specific suggestions.
