I was amazed over your portfolio, but unlike many others, i prefer photos that are not overdone in Photoshop... i suggest you might step down a bit in some works. But you still have very good feeling for colors, composition and most of all; the story behind a photograph. Keep up!

The success of particularly your landscapes for me is due to the astoundling clarity and textures captured by your Sony Cybershot DSC-F828 and DSC-R1. Of course lens glass quality is essential to taking good photographs. However, I have viewed many other photos on PN taken with much better (at least expensive) lenses but comparably not the same detail. Fact is I am waiting for the Fujifilm Finepix S4 Pro to hit the market so that I can upgrade to a professional camera; needless to say after I invest in a Nikkor 28-70 2.8 ED (big glass) and a 70-200mm ED VR,(bigger glass) I will be broke but I'm looking for fundamentally a higher quality photograph whenever I shoot. That's why I admire your portfolio (a little on the wide angle side and lens vignetting is noticeable) but excellent work nonetheless.

I just can't get enough of looking at your folio (as Tim said, particularly having in mind the glass you use, I use the same BTW);

Everything is so well perfected, composition, PPS technique, colours, clarity (which popped my eyes out trust me!), darn!!!

Just when I thought I reached like 70% of my F717 capacity I stumble upon your folio and realize I've got some 50% more to go :) not that I'm jealous, god forbids, it just pushes me to improve and hopefully get to see things from your shoes and thru your eyes! Wonderful indeed!

Be sure I'll be back as often to check on new stuff, you just got another fan :)

I wanted to stop by again for another comment. I am really impressed with your techniques... I dare say it is a little like the Rarindra Prakarsa techniques because of the smooth and saturated luminous scene. I do however feel that your images are a little more believable, strangely. Even though you add elements from fantasy to some of your shots, it still feels 'real' somehow. I know how protective artists here are about their techniques, but since I have always been happy to share mine, I wondered if you would tell a little about your lighting. I notice the foreground characters are often brightly lit - are you using a flash or a reflector sometimes? Anyway, regardless of whether you want to share, I enjoy your work - especially those with a touch of fantasy - and I look forward to more.... One last thing, if I can respectfully say, there are many members on photo.net who are rated a lot but rarely rate and critique others' works... it seems a little unfair that so many artists expect others to give yet do not give back... Glenn++++

Hey mate, how are you doing? Stunning portfolio my friend, It really is. I have been in the photography game for about 6 weeks now so still developing my style, but as you can see by my port i am learning quickly. I do have aquestion for you... Well, several actually. When i look at many of the images in your port, i find myself asking exactly how much of this is real? How much has been added into this and how much has been taken out? Which in a way is not that important when you see the finished product. But it is a question i ask myself everytime i see your port. Do you set up a specific project? To then work towards completion of that one image? I'm just trying to see exactly what steps you are taking to produce these masterpieces.. Teach me, my ears are yours..

Dear friend, last Saturday night, my wife and I, had a big incident with our car (head-on collision), and we are alive for miracle: anyway, these not good moments, become also good moments! indeed, in these occasions, we can understand that life is so breakable, for not being happy every day to awaken, drink a coffee, to smile, to make love and other simple things, to meet people and, why not, to do photographs! For doing these things we don?t need a lot of money and power: we need only our life and the capacity for surprise of simple things. My feelings are conflicted on this kind of work. Obviously it is beautiful and anyone can see you're knowledgable in digital manipulation. I took a class at a University on how to do these things and I ended up dropping the class, I do not have the knack for it. To me, it is not the same as straight up photography, it is something of value but not artistic as much as technical. Possibly with this advent of digital manipulation photgraphy should be put into different catagories. Never in a million years will my eye for a natural untouched photo come close to this. I revel in delight at the photos I take that are vibrant and interesting all on their own merit. As another commenter said, I would like to see some straight up photos you have taken with no intervention. It is very hard to tell how much of these photos are truely beauty in art or beauty in design. But yes, they are very very beautiful.

Wow, what a talent!

These are some of the most haunting images I have seen. I showed them to my grandchildren and they looked at them for over an hour without saying anything other than "wow grandpa those are beautiful". Anything that stimulates the imagination of a child is a good thing. Very well done.

On a quick scan all your images look the same to me. Interesting, but the same. Actually, if I were to go out on a limb I'd say your overusing a filter. The look is nice, but it got boring after about 20 to 30 images. I think if would be nice to see something else in contrast.
